The MDR was tested in August 2013 at the proving ground near Krasnoarmeysky (Moscow region). It refers to a vehicle operating on new physical principles — a microwave unit (UHF) unit is installed on the armored car. Previously, this technology was not used to eliminate explosive devices at a distance.
Mines and land mines electronics "Foliage" is able to detect at a distance of 100 meters in the sector 30 degrees. The machine was created specifically for the Strategic Missile Forces. In the future, it will be used to escort columns of Yars mobile missile systems.
Along with this, before the 2020 of the year, more than 300 units of engineering equipment are planned to be supplied to the engineering units of the RVSN compounds: engineering obstacles, heavy mechanized bridges, excavators, automobile cranes and other engineering weapons. More than 50% of the supplied engineering equipment will be a wheeled road vehicle designed specifically for the Strategic Missile Forces this year.
