It is assumed that the "Kashalot" will be able to take on board up to 450 marines, up to 80 units of military equipment, as well as up to 16 helicopters.     Russia first needs to launch small landing ships (armored ferries with high speed) in a series, then develop them for several generations, and only then, based on the experience gained, already invest in larger ships.

But, if we assume that this ship will support the landing, then the 76-mm caliber is small ... better than the 100-mm for destroying enemy fortifications ...
