The Yabloko party proposes to add a new article to the law “On Defense”, which will limit the use of armed forces outside the country to one year, and the operational use period - 60 days, if the deadline needs to be extended, the president will have to apply for permission to the Federation Council again, says in the bill prepared by the party.
The Yabloko party submitted to the legislative assemblies of the three regions in which a draft federal law was submitted, restricting the president’s right to use armed forces abroad. Extend permission to use (including operational) of the army after the expiration of specific dates should the Federation Council, according to the party.
The party proposes to supplement the law "On Defense" with a new article that will limit the period of use of armed forces outside the country to one year, and the period of operational use - 60 days. If the deadlines need to be extended, the president will have to contact the Council of the Federation again, the bill says

It is noted that the party chairman Emilia Slabunova submitted the draft to the Legislative Assembly of Karelia, and members of the federal political committee of the party Mikhail Amosov and Lev Shlosberg - to the parliaments of St. Petersburg and the Pskov region, respectively, reports RIA News.
