Two masked men broke into the house of Peter Zhivotovsky, beat the veteran, then tied him up with a curtain and tried to burn him alive. The criminals did not find money in the house, but they stole medals and orders. Evgeny Zabolotny, a relative of P. Zhivotovsky, said that two masked men entered the house and began to demand money. Peter Zhivotovsky was supposed to receive a pension on the eve. The bandits began to threaten the old man, they said that they would cut off his ear.
The beaten, unconscious eighty-six-year old man was tied up by cruel thieves with a curtain, then they doused the rooms with kerosene - and they set fire to them. It's amazing that an old, battered and bound man managed to get out of a burning house ...
Neighbors who saw the fire called an ambulance. Peter Zhivotovsky, who went through the war from the Kuban to Berlin itself, is now in intensive care. The bandits showed extreme cruelty: the old man’s jaws were broken, pulmonary edema was recorded. The condition is assessed as heavy.
Anaesthesiologist of the Armavir city hospital Roman Babich said that until the victim’s condition is stabilized, surgical intervention is expected. But the threat of life remains in any case: age.

Relatives do not tell the veteran about the missing medals. They fear that he, who is already in a serious condition, will become worse. The daughter of Peter Ivanovich, Elena Astakhova, says that the rewards for him are the most precious.
It is assumed that the bandits prepared for the crime - they took with them kerosene. Relatives Zhivotovsky convinced that the re-enactment of the fire failed, and, therefore, the attackers will be found. Police also do not report on the results of the investigation.
