At a conference in Israel: Lebanon is held hostage by Hezbollah, but silent in the world
147
A security conference was held in Israel. Hezbollah and its contacts with Iran were the main topics discussed by high-ranking military personnel and representatives of the intelligence community. During the conference, the former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon complained that the international community had long ago accepted the fact that Hezbollah is in fact a parallel army in Lebanon.
Recall that in Israel, Hezbollah is recognized as a terrorist organization.
Information Service The Jerusalem Post cites a statement by Moshe Ya'alon at the 17 conference on anti-terrorism security at the Herzliya Interdisciplinary Center.
Yaalon:
One must ask why the international community has become accustomed to the fact that Lebanon was actually taken hostage by a terrorist organization ruled by another country. But the reality is that the international community has become accustomed to the existing world order and is not engaged in this.
Speaking at the conference, Brigadier General Ram Yavne noted that Iran continues to equip Hezbollah, “which is a security threat not only to Israel, but to the entire region.”
The Israeli command and intelligence agencies noted that in the event of another clash with Hezbollah, Israel would have to strike not only the infrastructure of this organization, but also the infrastructure of the whole Lebanon due to the growth of the group.

Yaalon:
It must be understood that the order to attack Israel will be received by Hezbollah not from its leader Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon, but from Iran’s supreme leader Khamenei. It is Iran that represents the main danger in the region.
