The "Perimeter" system (in Western Europe and the USA is known as literally "Dead Hand") is an automatic control system for a massive nuclear response, created in the USSR at the height of the Cold War. Designed for guaranteed delivery of combat orders from the highest levels of command (General Headquarters of the Armed Forces, the Strategic Missile Forces Directorate) to command posts and individual launchers of strategic missiles on alert, in case of an emergency, when lines of communication may be damaged.

    Do not quite understand
If Kazbek does not respond, the right to make a decision is transferred to any person in the command bunker

those. Does the decision to launch still make a person? Assuming that the bunker (s) are destroyed (s), then what?

Koschey, written a decision will be made by artificial intelligence if everyone dies, i.e. rockets will fly away anyway

I think a person sets only a task for the system, but it already analyzes itself and there is a manual start naturally.

It cannot be disabled. If someone tries to do this, she will regard it as an attack and will retaliate.

In, the USA is especially afraid, therefore they are trying in every possible way to persuade us to turn off this system.

There are still orbital platforms of the Strategic Missile Forces disguised as communication satellites.

Yes. Glory to the ancestors! Perhaps descendants will remember us with a kind word.

In the meantime, cruise missiles were shown again. So far in a simple version. Maybe it's time to jerk in the Special? For a demonstration? In the volcano ..
