The military transport aircraft was supposed to be an all-metal double-deck monoplane with a wing located in the middle of the fuselage, capable of airborne simultaneously from both decks. The upper tier of the aircraft was occupied by fighters in full gear, while the lower one was intended for military equipment (depending on the combat mission, both decks could also be occupied by paratroopers or sanitary stretchers). Additional comfort of transporting soldiers was provided by the tightness of the front and rear pressurized cabins, located parallel to each other on the upper deck of the "Yu" facility.
