Life given to the country. On the death of this officer and patriot
15 August suddenly died as a result of a heart attack, one of those military and politicians who categorically did not accept “perestroika”, the collapse of the USSR and the subsequent “democratization”, - the head of the “Union of Officers”, co-chairman of the National Sovereign Party, member the political council of the "Russian National Union" Stanislav Nikolaevich Terekhov.
It was a man who not only condemned all the horrors of 90, but also really fought against the destruction of the Fatherland. For which, by the way, has repeatedly suffered. And even now, only a few media outlets reported his death.
Born Stanislav Nikolaevich 28 on August 1955 of the year. In the army service - from 1972 year. In 1975 year - joined the Communist Party. In 1976, he successfully graduated from the Leningrad Higher Military-Political School of Air Defense. He served in the air defense forces, was an assistant to the chief of the political department of 29 of the Army of the Trans-Baikal Military District, an instructor of the Political Administration of the Headquarters of the Far Eastern Forces, deputy regiment commander.
In 1990, he graduated with honors from the Higher Political Academy named after Lenin and entered the adjunct of the Law Department. It would seem that the career of a young officer is progressing successfully. However, further stormy events began, which turned the fate of the whole army, the whole country, hundreds of millions of people upside down. Many years before the demise of the Soviet Union, it was obvious to many patriots and honest people that everything was heading ...
Stanislav Nikolayevich begins his political career. Takes part in the work of the Marxist platform of the CPSU (which included people who tried to prevent the destruction of the USSR. Later, the Union of Communists party was formed from this platform). He tried to run for deputy to the Supreme Soviet in a single-member district in Moscow. Gathered around the military, who also advocated the preservation of the Soviet Union. So the Union of Officers was created. In February 1992, the Founding Conference of the Union of Officers was held, during which Terekhova was elected chairman of the organization.
Naturally, such activities strongly disliked the "democratic" authorities. 13 November 1992, the Yeltsin’s Minister of Defense Pavel Grachev (later one of the bloody executioners who executed the Supreme Soviet of Russia) dismissed Terekhov from the army. Allegedly, “for service mismatch,” although it is clear that this was a political reprisal.
Then the power of the “democrats” was not finally confirmed - there were still places where the truth could be found, even if the defense minister was the wrong side. On April 1 of the same year, the military court of the Moscow military garrison decided to restore Stanislav Nikolayevich Terekhov in the Armed Forces.
... The terrible autumn of the year 1993 has arrived. It should be recalled that on September 24, Yeltsin issued a decree on the dispersal of the Supreme Soviet - the highest legislative body of Russia. This fundamentally contradicted the laws of that time, but this action was enthusiastically perceived by the entire “demonship”, which the parliament did not suit, because it tried to prevent total lawlessness “in the name of freedom”, uncontrolled “seizure” and depriving citizens of all social guarantees.
Terekhov was one of those who came to the defense of the Supreme Council. He was appointed assistant legal minister of defense Vladislav Achalov. (Let me remind you - since Yeltsin’s actions were illegal, the Supreme Council, in full accordance with the Constitution, appointed Acting President Alexander Rutsky. He, in turn, appointed Achalov as Minister of Defense).
In the evening of September 23, the pro-Yeltsin media reported that a group led by Terekhov had attacked the headquarters of the United Armed Forces of the CIS. It is difficult to say now why this raid was required, but if we recognize that it was the defenders of the Supreme Council who acted in accordance with the law, then this does not look like an attack at all, but an attempt by the legitimate Ministry of Defense to take advantage of constitutional powers. The “Democrats”, however, presented this as the “crime” of the defenders of parliament.
Terekhova and his group waited for an ambush. He was arrested and placed in the Sailor's Silence. The media blamed him and his group for the murder of a policeman and an elderly woman (although in a criminal case the murder of a woman was not even assigned to him). The supporters of Yeltsin really didn’t matter - it was important to present those who opposed the illegal decree as villains.
As Stanislav Nikolaevich later said in an interview, "there would be no casualties if it were not for the shooting that was not started by us. And the bullet that hit the elderly woman was released after me in a shootout between police and someone else who appeared later».
The Democrats again dismissed Terekhov from the army, while he was behind bars in Matrosskaya Tishina. On freedom, Stanislav Nikolayevich came 27 February 1994 of the year - after the rest of the defenders of the House of Soviets came out of the dungeons thanks to an amnesty adopted by the State Duma (elected to replace the executed Supreme Soviet). However, he was released with the phrase “change in the measure of restraint”. The criminal case against the officer was terminated only in August 1995 of the year (despite the amnesty).
In January 1995, the Moscow District Military Court was forced to admit that Lieutenant Colonel Terekhova from the army and was fired for the second time illegally. The court reinstated him in the service.
In December, 1995, Stanislav Nikolayevich ran for the State Duma. True, the election lost. In March 1996, Terekhov nearly became one of the candidates for the presidency of Russia, but withdrew his candidacy in favor of Gennady Zyuganov.
Stanislav Nikolayevich was actively engaged in the military-patriotic education of young people. Conducted with young people annual sports fees. I also had the opportunity to take part in one of these collections - it was near Vitebsk, where, in addition to sports competitions, skydiving was also organized. Then we managed to communicate more closely with Stanislav Nikolayevich, who made an impression of a modest, benevolent, intelligent person, a senior comrade, who was ready not only to pass on his experience to the young, but also to come to the rescue, if necessary.
In the last years of his life, he actively supported volunteers defenders of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.
The motto of the “Union of Officers” is: “For Power, Honor and Dignity”. We can say that it was under this motto that the life of an honest officer and politician Stanislav Nikolayevich Terekhov, who until his last breath remained true to the oath once given, passed the life.
