The Israeli military-industrial complex completed the development of a heavy BTR "Namer" version with a turret and a cannon caliber 30 mm. According to the plan, in the future the same tower will be used on the wheeled armored personnel carrier “Eitan”. The tower is a remote-controlled rendered weapon system.

The level of armor "Namera" corresponds to the latest version tank Merkava Mk. 4, that is, it is considered very high. The armored personnel carrier has reinforced bottom armor and overhead tracked cumulative screens. The armor has built-in Trophy active defense elements.
