Information Agency Interfax, citing its own sources, reports that the working movement on the railway branch Zhuravka-Millerovo is open. Recall that this section of the path connecting the Voronezh region with the neighboring Rostov, bypassing the territory of Ukraine. For now, Russian trains have to travel several kilometers along the territory of the Luhansk region, which is controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Interfax cites the statement of the interlocutor:
The labor movement on the site Zhuravka - Millerovo open. Thus, we can say that the operation of this two-track electrified railway, which was built around the neighboring Ukraine, began.
Today, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu presented the Order of Zhukov to the command of the 39-th separate railway brigade, which carried out the bulk of the construction work of the branch from the Voronezh Region to the Rostov Region.
Undoubtedly, the construction of the railway section Zhuravka - Millerovo as soon as possible will be included in the glorious chronicle of the brigade. It is of great importance for ensuring the intensity and safety of traffic in the southern direction of the country.
In fact, Russia is getting rid of railway dependence on Ukraine, in which (dependence) was after the collapse of the Soviet Union. In this case, risks are reduced to zero when trains move in the direction of the Kuban and back.
