Military parades in China are extremely rare, annual parades in honor of the anniversary of the founding of the PRC were only in 1950's, then the parade tradition was interrupted for a long time and resumed only in 1984, and then it was decided to hold them only on the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the PRC, therefore, the next big parades were in 1999 and 2009. But under President Xi Jinping, the second big parade is held in honor of other events. First in 2015 r in honor of the 70 anniversary of the victory over Japan, and now in honor of the 90 anniversary of the formation of the PLA. True, this parade was not held in Beijing, but at the Zhurihe site in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia.
