Tornado multiple launch rocket systems before 2020 will completely replace outdated Grad, Uragan and Smerch MLRSs in the Russian ground forces. The new weapons will be presented in three versions - Tornado-G, Tornado-U and Tornado-S, designed, respectively, for 122, 220 and 300 mm ammunition. The modular design principle allows the stem unit to be installed on a unified undercarriage that is required for a specific task.
