The head of the German oil and gas company Wintershall, Mario Meren, refused to take into account the arguments of opponents of the project "Nord Stream-2", stating that he can leave Ukraine without income from the transit of Russian gas, reports RIA News.

Wintershall expects to implement the Nord Stream 2 project, despite criticism and opposition from individual countries.

The project "Nord Stream-2" involves the construction of two gas pipeline lines from the Russian coast through the Baltic Sea to Germany. The total capacity will be 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
