Weapons Factory ORSIS

31
Today I was at the plant of the Promtekhnologii group of companies, where representatives of industry, power structures and some journalists were shown how ORSIS rifles are made.

Since the event was not focused on the press, do not expect stunning sensations and disruption of covers. An hour at the enterprise gave a certain number of photos of workshops and some information:
- the production of one T-5000 rifle (as long as we are interested in military options) takes three days to and from.
- per year, according to the statement of the general director Alexey Sorokin, the plant can produce five thousand rifles.
- the rifle is being tested in various power structures.
- there is no state order for it yet, but the plant is trying to get it (therefore, questions about “replacing the SVD”, “with what scope it will go to the troops”, etc., while not at the cashier’s desk).
- The rifle was created by the design bureau of the plant, so it’s not about the Lefty singleton.
- T-5000 is all made of domestic materials, except steel for barrels (they are from the USA).
- in a year, plans to present a semi-automatic rifle of the SVD type.
- A year later, plans to master their own production of .308 and .338 cartridges.
- possible production of pistols.

Now, in fact, the photos themselves.

It was high time to create such a production! And it is desirable that not only Promtechnologii be engaged in the production of modern sniper rifles in our country.

That's it, I'm the same to the limit outraged!
Already in history it was - Beria, remember, was like that? That's it, while Beria the elder was in charge, and his curator was shooting executives of the enemies of the people, his son decided to create a homing weapon! How dare he? He is Beria! Beria can not create! Since Beria, the eldest, is already holding the post, then Beria, Jr. should have been at home and not rock the boat !!!!!!!. And he, such a bastard, took and created high-precision weapons, which caused terrible harm to the country !!!!! am
How much can you mock Mother Russia in such a way, and, Russians? Give the executions of the sons of all major officials in Russia !!! What this has not been repeated in history!

although you declare yourself an elder ...
Lobaev was squeezed out of Russia. and ORSIS won "in fair competition".
heh, with such a "rear" in the form of a daddy, you can not only "overwhelm" Lobaev, but also remove Mikhail Timofeevich himself from the road, if necessary ...
what about sons of large officials - I do not know where he lives and what Sergey Nikitich Khrushchev does?

CNC machines at our military plant in Berdsk appeared back in the 80s of the last century.

Of course, CNC machines appeared in our country in the 80s, there were more current sizes - especially the digital block itself, the size of an average refrigerator and a moon-eyed monique wassat

there is no state order for it yet, but the plant is trying to get it
This phrase is alarming. Previously, the Ministry of Defense announced a competition for the creation of a certain type of weapon. Several design bureaus developed, made an experimental batch and then provided the product for testing by the commission. Based on the results of stringent tests, the best product was revealed and the Ministry of Defense gave it an order. And now it’s taking shape the impression is that each plant is trying to shove its product, and in what ways one can only speculate.

    Very interesting enterprise.
The ORSIS plant of all successes, and most importantly, the receipt of the GOZ, is important not only for the enterprise, but also for the military.
I understand that this so-called "piece" production is shown here? After all, the plant has the capacity for full-scale production for the army.

T-5000 is all made of domestic materials, except steel for trunks (they are from the USA)
This is completely out of the question. The barrel is the basis of the weapon, and this fact about the origin of steel is very depressing. Is it from the branch of our "Severstal" in Warren, Ohio ???

the shooter athlete Lobaev, who also made rifles, once said that it was easier and more profitable for him to negotiate trunks with the Germans or with the Americans. local steel oligarchs offer him to buy immediately a kiloton of steel, and so much he does not need, and less kiloton - to oligarchs without interest.

again on the same rake as the king in WWI, walk and walk. Russian shipyards and arsenals had to place orders abroad, for all these Messrs. Putilovs and Yuzes were fighting at exorbitant prices for weapons and armor steel. and now the strategic metallurgical industry has been surrendered to the urks and other criminals.

This was good news already during Max. Thanks to the author for the details and for the "clarity".
"The rifle was created by the design bureau of the plant, so we are not talking about a lone Lefty" - a new design school? If so, that's very good.
"per year, according to General Director Alexei Sorokin, the plant can produce five thousand rifles" - a lot or a little can be judged based on the need for just such a rifle in the armed forces, but for a start, in my opinion, not bad.
"- in a year we plan to present a semi-automatic rifle of the SVD type.
    - A year later, plans to master their own production of .308 and .338 cartridges.
    - production of pistols is also possible. "- remove the word" possible "and the plans are more than worthy.
"The rifle is being tested in various power structures" - if the T-5000 does not fail on tests, then the state defense order is simply necessary. Initiatives like these need to be supported.
    Good luck ORSISy.

Class !!! A good article, excellent photos, though a few questions arise, such as, why metal for trunks from usa? By the way, forts (Ukrainian pistols) order trunks in the Czech Republic. - We have one of the most powerful global metallurgical industries ??? And the second question is about the need for a semi-automatic rifle, because during reloading the barrel moves slightly from the sight line to a loved one, except to support the infantry squad, but the new rifles, it seems to me, will not be able to replace the SVD

Fort ordered pistols from Czechs only at the initial stage of production. then they bought machines from Chezetka and drill the trunks themselves.

That's exactly why steel for trunks from the USA ?? !!! The rifle without a barrel will not shoot !!! Pah-pah, if the war starts, the Americans will not give us this steel !!! You have to have your own !!! And I’m sure that in Russia this is made !!! What is ORSIS thinking !!!

Well, where are the screamers now who yelled that everything is bad with the production of modern small arms in Russia? Now they will begin to whine that the T-5000 is a piece of goods and the company is private. Trunks of this level and quality should be piece-wise, because they are for PROFI, and that the company is private, all the most outstanding arms companies in the world are by no means state-owned.
I am sure that the semiautomatic device will come out no worse than the T-5000. Now, the main thing is that the stools and Co. do not put the sticks in the wheels and this toy has reached the sun.

There was an article about this plant and the rifle a year or two ago. The equipment is American, our engineers. The terms of reference were given to them from the FSO of the president. And the first batch was purchased there. With such a price for a rifle, it will never be in the army. If only people will buy them on their own. But for this it is necessary to change the law "on weapons" to allow its wearing and use in self-defense (now - you yourself know).

Well, men will not escalate. Sucks that steel from the States. But as far as I know, our oligarchs like Mordash (Severstal) do not accept orders for special steels of less than 50 tons. And I think ORSIS is not yet up to such volumes, therefore the States. God forbid, the time will come before their special steels, and the guys success and receive an order from the Ministry of Defense.
