Patrol boats of the 03160 Raptor project are the fastest naval vessels in service with the Russian Navy. The project was developed at the Design Bureau of the Pella Leningrad Shipbuilding Plant on the instructions of the Russian Navy. The construction of boats is conducted at the Pella shipyard in the town of Otradny of the Leningrad Region.
Due to the great similarity of the appearance, the boats of the project can be confused with other transport-landing boats of the 02510 project of the BK-16 type, developed in the Kalashnikov concern, and produced at the Rybinsk Shipyard. Both projects are based on speedboats CB90.
