1
Ivan Lebedev goes to the legendary 201 Russian military base in Tajikistan. At the largest land bridgehead outside Russia, the presenter with her own eyes is watching how this unique compound works in the hot climate of the Central Asian region. During the exercises, he tests various types of weapons of the 201 base, examines the basics of the work of the ground forces in mountainous areas and equips a "universal combat mining machine" of the donkey type.

    Old video.
The southern outpost was reduced to a regiment.
The Russian military base in Tajikistan, perhaps this year will be transferred to the brigade principle of formation. And this means that the military contingent of the Russian Federation in Central Asia, which was still being built on a divisional basis, could numerically decrease. Today, their units are deployed in two cities - Dushanbe and Kurgan-Tyube. The 201 base also has military training grounds in the south of the country, the most famous of which is Liaur, which is 40 kilometers from the Tajik capital. The size of the Russian military contingent is currently about 6000 people. Almost all of them are contract soldiers. The core of the 201 base is a motorized rifle regiment.
