Nationalists from the OUN Volunteer Movement (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, banned in the Russian Federation) are picketting the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kiev demanding the resignation of the head of department Arsen Avakov, the correspondent reports. RIA News.
Earlier, the Ukrainian police stormed the OUN office in Kiev, from which nationalists carried out provocations against participants of the Immortal Regiment march on Victory Day. During the assault, 24 people were detained. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine also said that the radicals threatened the participants of the "Immortal Regiment" in Kiev with a grenade launcher.
At the rally, there are several dozen people with flags of the OUN, the nationalist Svoboda party and the Right Sector extremist movement *. In general, the action is calm, its participants do not take active steps and only chant: "Avakov resigned."
On the street next to the building of the Ministry of Interior exhibited enhanced security of the units of the National Guard and the police.
