Heavy combat vehicle flamethrowers BMO-T. Infographics

BMO-T (Object 564) - Russian heavy fighting vehicle flamethrower. It is intended for transportation of weapons and personnel of the flamethrowing unit in contact with the enemy.

The combat vehicle of flamethrowers was created on the basis of units and assemblies of the MBT T-72. BMO-T is divided into two compartments: the engine-transmission and control compartment (which is combined with the landing compartment). Above the inhabited compartment there is a box-shaped armored superstructure. In the compartment there are two crew members (driver and commander), and there are also 7 seats for the landing. Since the BMO-T is based on the T-72, the frontal armor provides protection to the crew at the level of the main combat tank. Auxiliary equipment is installed in the side walls.
