RVV-AE is a Russian medium-range guided missile (110 km) of air-to-air class with a single-pulse Doppler active radar homing head. Developed in Vympel GosMKB. Adopted in 1994 year.
RVV-AE is designed to combat airborne targets: airplanes, helicopters, and ground-to-air and air-to-air missiles at any time of the day in simple and complex meteorological conditions, in the presence of background and active radar interference. The probability of hitting the target is 0,6-0,7.
