The modular station Voronezh-M of high factory readiness (VZG) is intended for use as part of a missile attack warning system (SPRN). The Voronezh stations will replace the obsolete Dnepr in Ukraine and Daryal in Azerbaijan, and the task of concentrating the ground-based missile warning system on the territory of Russia will finally be solved. The main purpose of the new radar is a warning about launches of a nuclear missile in the north-west rocket-hazardous area, as well as issuing data on space objects to the space monitoring system.

Such stations can significantly improve the accuracy of determining the coordinates of air targets and provide guidance and control of missiles. Able to simultaneously control up to 500 objects. Developed by JSC "NPK NIIDAR" association "RTISystems". The power consumption of the Voronezh radar is 0,7 MW, the cost is more than 1,5 billion rubles.
