Be-2500 "Neptune" - a project of super heavy transport aircraft amphibious, developed at the Taganrog TANTK them. G. M. Beriev. Is the biggest in stories from ever conceived seaplanes.

This project provides for the possibility of flying a seaplane in the screen, above the water surface, and in altitude modes. The development provided for the possibility of operating and basing within the infrastructure of already existing large seaports.

Someday, in the next decade or next century, it can be built.
I heard that it is not cost-effective to use ekranoletov or similar because of the lack of infrastructure and high operating costs.
    And the picture is interesting.

In the next decade, no one will definitely build it, since there are no extra 400 billion rubles to create it and in the very distant future, it will appear vryatli.

Ekranoplanes is a topic that has not been studied at all ... but I think, while we are still leaders in this area, we need to study this topic and create ekranoplanes not only for defense, but also for citizen. For now, these extremely heavy ekranoleta are useless for two reasons, their application is expensive and incomprehensible. But for example, something like Lunya or Orlenka format would surely not hurt our aircraft at all.
One minus in all this, of course, is that the concept of using such platforms has not been developed.

NEXUS, in general, it’s not quite an ekranoplan, but a kind of symbiosis of an airplane and an ekranoplane. The catch is different, the ekranoplan operation is fundamentally different from airplanes, hence the difficulty arose with the use of these devices. If you still build how it will be controlled, can they really something in this regard to change.

They won’t build ... such a giant simply isn’t needed ... I somehow studied the topic of ekranolette with YaSU ... so to say ekrolette capable of carrying a small fighter wing. A kind of aircraft carrier, only faster ... but it's all on a fantasy level , Wishlist, etc. In fact, we need ekranoplans, if only because they are very high-speed cars. And in the case of the moon, this is a platform for RCC and quite frisky. But again, the topic is very unstudied, but we are leaders in it ... but for now.

NEXUS, when it had long been reading about the tests of the "Eaglet", "Lun" was only in prototype development, and it told how ordinary military pilots were put at the helm, as a result, the tail was torn off the device. But in time, the chief designer arrived and saved the people and the car. After this incident, the ekranoplans ceased to finance, and the topic itself was practically buried.

        Well, for example...

17 ekranoplanes produced by the Jiangsu company Hengchuan will be exported to the United Arab Emirates. The total amount of the contract will reach several billion yuan. This was reported by corr. Xinhua News Agency recently in the Commerce Administration of Jiangsu / East China /.

        Or...
In September 2007, the South Korean government announced plans to build a large ekranoplane designed for commercial purposes by 2012. It is expected that the device will be able to carry up to 100 tons of cargo at a speed of 250-300 km per hour. Its mass will be 300 tons, dimensions - 77 meters in length and 65 meters in width. The government allocates $ 91,7 million for the next five years. The development of such an aircraft, according to Yonghap agency, South Korea began in 1995

Well, in the USA the Pelican-Ultra heavy winged wing was developed (though at the development level it was all over) ...

Dear, you did not understand the main thing ... the study of the subject of ekranoplanes is NOT ONLY US! Do you have confidence that the same China, Korea, the USA, in five years will not give birth to an ekranoplan cleaner Lunya and Orlenka?

Well, who can be sure of this?
maybe after 5 years they’ll come up with something, but today ekranoplanes do not combine the advantages of a ship and an airplane, but rather their shortcomings.

More recently, people in one discussion on the fingers explained why this type of vehicle was never put into production, everything depends on wild fuel consumption ... This topic is very interesting, revolutionary, but completely not cost-effective. They never realize, except in cases when any expenses will not be covered, for example, by a military gain, the military can afford to overrun in fuel if they win in the battle plan ...

You are absolutely right that fuel consumption determines the entire take-off and flight mass. Engines themselves do not provide sufficiently powerful and controlled traction. Therefore, the conclusion is very simple. On the modern concept of building aircraft turbines, it is impossible to balance the processes in order to obtain an effective, long-term and safe flight of such an aircraft. We need engines built on new conceptual principles. And there are such developments, contrary to stable conservative views on these issues. It only remains to be regretted that the Russians will not "pull it".

What is the Design - Flying Wing?
What the hell is this flying wing, if the picture is a cross between a duck with the usual pattern?
Why was this machine called a “plane” from a standstill if it has a screen cruising mode? Such devices are called "ekranoleta".

Even before the Second World War, it became clear that no one needed large seaplanes. The further development of aviation only confirmed this. Therefore, a logical question arises - why is it needed, especially in Russia with its huge area? For flights Sochi-Vladivostok?

Campaign someone read the works of the great designer R.E. Alekseeva. There was even a layout of an ekranoplan, which could climb 6000 meters. We are waiting, we can see, the Caspian monster saw the test - this is something, let's see if current minds can recreate this creation

Here I am about the same little babies! All my childhood passed to the sound of casp.monster accelerated engines (as he was nicknamed) back in the 60s. I don’t think that now this is a secret inf. So this colossus crossed the visible horizon in the blink of an eye, plus the water haze made this ekranoplan almost invisible. Then he grew up in the early 70s and worked at the Dagdiesel plant, where this monster of enormous size stood. I saw with my own eyes the crew and the great builder Alekseev. But the same democrats (creatures and fag ... ruins) ruined this invention, under the leadership of the same ka Yeltsin and his guides. They trampled the country — well, even now we are trying (kind of successfully) to get up off our knees.

Something reminds me of drawings in my notebook of the 70s. When at 10 I really wanted to become an aircraft designer. He really fell in love with aviation. There are no engines even in the project, a freehand sketch. Apparently a big request - give at least a small advance, and then at least the grass does not grow. The idea may be good, to cover it all with the name of Rostislav Alekseyev it will be said mildly, vile gentlemen! Where is the reasonable order from the concerned departments? And call it "Russian Federation" maybe the money will reach you. You better complete the assembly and implementation of the Be-200 (I am silent about the A-40) to your mind, and then swipe at Buran-level projects for the USSR. And about where to collect these monsters, too, had to think about. It is cheaper to conquer Nikolaev from Ukraine. Is it really difficult to understand that the development of such projects requires a trained team of highly qualified specialists. To prepare them, a special school is needed, not the one that has now remained in this design bureau. And we need new people with new approaches and ideas at a completely different level of design. With knowledge in completely different materials and technologies. It is naive to believe that in 10-15 years the same basic materials will remain in aviation as now. And who will prepare these new specialists? Now it would probably be more correct for this design bureau to work with new types of ekranoplanes using the latest types of materials and technologies and sizes an order of magnitude or even two smaller. Feel the difference in results. To gain experience . Achieve noticeable results for everyone. Show the results to specialists (it’s not a sin for the whole country through the media). To interest certain departments with their capabilities. And only then offer a thoughtful project of the Supercreen. And I voiced the proposal for its name above. This is my personal opinion. I do not impose it on anyone. Sorry for the frankness!
