How should not die military equipment

42
During the years of the Cold War, a huge amount of military equipment was created in the open spaces of our Motherland. Fortunately, the global war did not happen, but the technique remained. And every year the machines and equipment became obsolete, and just broke. In the end, the technique was disassembled or preserved. I do not know for what reasons, but sometimes large bases with such equipment simply ceased to function, or they do it very sluggishly, and time does not spare equipment and technology. This post contains photos from one such base, it is very large, and it was not possible to bypass it in one day, so the post will be divided into two parts.

How should not die military equipment

1. Surprisingly, getting into the territory turned out to be elementary, the perimeter towers were empty, and the fence was missing in some places. On the second and third perimeter, the alarm was covered apparently last winter, when trees fell on it.

2. Silence stood grave and, having walked a little through the forest, I was already in front of an abandoned technique.

3. Technique scattered randomly, here and there in the bushes flashed a variety of cars.

4.

5. Some copies were partially disassembled.

6.

7. Along the edges of the base, the condition of the equipment is poor.

8.

9.

10. Taking a picture from the edge and making sure that there are no people, it was decided to go deep into.

11. It was difficult to walk through the forest, everywhere there was metal rubbish and parts. And then there were very old railway tracks in the forest.

12. Then I stumbled along the railway tracks, because they had to take them somewhere, there were always “corpses” of cars in the forest.

13.

14.

15.

16. And finally, the train tracks led to the station. Seeing the tap, I could not deny myself in visiting it.

17. Here the scales of the “graveyard” of technology are clearly visible. It is worth noting that only a small part is visible here.

18.

19.

20.

21.

22.

23.

24.

25. From above it became boring and it would be time to crawl into the technique itself. What kind of vans were sealed, but some are open. I did not tear off the seals.

26. Antenna in action.

27. A disassembled antenna was lying nearby.

28. Inside it is clear that the technique is well preserved.

29.

30.

31.

32.

33.

34.

35. Nearby van is almost the same.

36.

37.

38. Kungi is also not empty. They contain various equipment.

39.

40. Besides Uralov and ZIL there were also “loaves”.

41.

42.

43.

44.

45.

46. This is already very bad, apparently he has been standing here for a very long time.

47.

48.

49.

50.

51. Among the equipment was found BTR. We climbed into it later. Until it was completely dark, you still have to take pictures outside.

52.

53.

54.

55.

56.

57.

58.

59. Time to get into armored personnel carriers.

60. Driver's seat. In general, in the BTR is very closely, it was very difficult to photograph. In addition, various instruments for the crew were piled on it.

61. Tank periscope, an amusing thing. The APC has many holes for it.

62. Optical systems too much.

63.

64.

65. Having twisted and pressing the buttons, I made the equipment unpleasantly zhuzhat.

66. Rigging racks.

67.

68. Another "Ural".

69. Inside is almost empty, but in the boxes almost everywhere, something was lying.

70. For example, there is another box in the box, but it was already empty.

71. Typical replacement items. They dated 1990 year.

72.

With the disposal of old equipment in the army it was always not very good. Many of these machines could be given a second life in civilian life, I think the farmers would not refuse to buy a loaf or ZIL 133 for an acceptable price.

I agree! There would be a lot of people willing to buy such equipment. Which hunter doesn’t dream of caterpillar equipment, and it would be useful for geologists in Siberia too, oh sorry, you could also pull out all the valuable metal metals from there .. sorry

Yeah, I'm sorry, but what will you do though if there is something working there you could give to agriculture as help, I think it worked for many as a workhorse and helped a lot)

Well, right now it will begin. Mokrushin had long since been dismantling all this. Do not be lazy, read before whining here. In general, a lot of things should not have been in the history of Russia since the 90s, zero, IMHO.

It will begin, it will not begin, and it is also useful to remind of our criminal disorder.
    1. The funny thing is if this technique is still listed as a mob. reserve.
    2. Such equipment (unnecessary min.defence) should not be sold, but given to the national economy. Including farmers in the form of gratuitous assistance. In the end, the whole nation plows on defense, not until getting another. It’s not gratuitous that would be scattered like this. The Ministry of Defense should be just ashamed. If they still have it.

Unfortunately Russia cannot be surprised with such dumps. It was possible even to sell cheaper in the countryside. One word FUNNY.

I myself saw something like this, in the location of one heavily cut aviation regiment in the 90s, the whole field is covered by fuel trucks, already overgrown with bushes sad
I also remember in the 90s the decommissioned equipment was sold - UAZs, trucks ... I remember the "shishiga" with my father in the same garrison, and somehow quite inexpensively.
And then .... Just my heart bleeds crying

Decommissioned cars have always been sold and are being sold. For example, in the internet there is a lot of information about sales through Moscow auto shops of "demobilized" UAZ and ZILs that have stood for ten years in underground hangars.

This, apparently, is not a recycled equipment, or rather what is left of it. At each such base there are five storage categories, what is shown in the photo is either the fifth category, or the general scrap, therefore it is protected. I myself was at such a base outside the Urals, I won’t specify where, I was also amazed at both the fifth and fourth categories of storage of armored vehicles (self-propelled guns Acacia, Carnations, Peonies, mortars Tulip, armored personnel carriers and armored vehicles, artillery equipment, etc.) are stored in the open air in the forest, in about the same condition. But knowledgeable people explained to me that this is normal, the 1st, second and third storage categories are very different in terms of storage quality, they didn’t even go there. And the fourth and fifth are used as spare parts, but they assured that if there is a big war, then this equipment will go and shoot at least once! We will hope.

It seems to me especially not to lose heart with these photos, the technique is morally obsolete, did you consider all the radar fillings in the Urals and Zil? And armored personnel carrier? - this is 70! He has long been supposed to rest, the 66th is already being massively copied, the BRDM too ...

We withdraw money for an undelivered item when handing it over to a recycling base. And here all the armed units of the Republic of Belarus can cover up shortages for two years when the equipment is delivered.

I live in the village. With great pleasure I would buy at the residual price: a pair of UAZ-452, a KAMAZ chassis, a pair of ZIL-131, and even a couple for spare parts. Heart bleeds. And here soon you yourself will be a draft force. But the land still needs to be cultivated. As the saying goes: "I was going to die, but this rye."

In any city of regional importance, in large areas and territories, there may be several, especially beyond the Ural ridge, where the GSVG and, generally, from Eastern Europe, troops and equipment were withdrawn, especially after the conclusion of the CFE Treaty.

Yes, do not panic, the equipment that is in the state reserve, its huge amount, and this is the storage base No. ....... well, etc. In fact, a lot of equipment is waiting for utilization from the 60 of the x years, and the one that is really stored under a thick layer of solid oil. ))) In the warehouses, even PPSh and PPS in the lubricant are brand new, it sometimes went to the point of absurdity, when checking the arsenal at the lower levels, there was even 1934 meat of the year. )))

It's funny .. well, something newer is coming to replace it ... it struck me that the insides of the radio reconnaissance vehicles (?!) Are practically oil. The tank periscope is in excellent condition and the insides of the bets ... but all these details are worth a lot of money.

Anyone who is interested in this topic, I highly recommend visiting Lana Sator's website (just type in the search engine in Cyrillic letters "Pan Sator", there she has a section "Abandoned buildings, bomb shelters, military facilities, dead equipment and much more." impressions!
And about the above material - well, what can I say? "Our land is great and abundant (we add, very, very rich), but there is no order in it!" But there is the Minister of Defense who looks very good!
