SOBR MIA of Russia

SOBR (Special Rapid Response Squad) - federal and regional special units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, which were staffed (up to 2003 of the year) within the departments of organized crime control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (units over 200 people from the end of 1990's were called units).

In 2002, SOBR units were transformed into Special Special Forces (Special Forces Militia Unit). 30 November 2011 by order of the Minister of Internal Affairs Rashid Nurgaliyev, the special purpose police units of the Ministry of the Interior were once again officially referred to as special rapid reaction units.

Since 5 on April 2016, the SOBR is a member of the Federal Service of National Guard forces of the Russian Federation.
