Electronic warfare (EW) units of the Airborne Forces received 4 units of the newest radio intelligence and suppression systems Infaun.
Experts of electronic warfare of the Svirsky airborne division (ZVO) and the personnel of the EW units of the airborne assault (mountain) airborne unit (SEO) began to master the new technology.
The equipment of Infauna complexes has no foreign analogues. Their approbation took place in the subdivisions of the Airborne Forces Airborne Forces, only among the paratroopers they are in service.
The use of the unique capabilities of the “Infauna” complex allows to significantly increase the protection of vehicles, armored vehicles and personnel of the assault forces against radio-controlled mine-explosive devices and to ensure the radio suppression of enemy communications.
The planned deliveries in 2011, two airborne troops were provided with modern equipment for electronic warfare 100%.
Continuing to improve the training of specialists of EW Airborne units. Thus, during the 2011 of the year, two crews of Infauna radio intelligence and radio suppression complexes were prepared and approved for operation at the interspecific training center for specialists and EW units. The radio intelligence officers' chiefs and the EW subunit commanders improved their qualifications in the EW specialist training courses of the Armed Forces of Russia.
