As a result of the bombing, 140 died and more than 500 people were injured. In Saudi Arabia, they said they are starting an investigation into the incident.
“In the light of the attack last weekend, we intend to conduct an additional review of the assistance that goes to Saudi Arabia. And if the question is whether this review has begun, the answer is yes, it has begun, ”
said the representative of the State Department.
At the same time, Kirby stressed that the US authorities are conducting an audit of programs of assistance to foreign countries on an ongoing basis. “In recent months, this has been the case in Saudi Arabia, and we talked about it publicly,” he said.
