At an army conference in Washington, AirTronics USA presented the Precision Shoulder-Fired Rocket Launcher (PSRL-1) grenade launcher, which is a modernized clone of the Soviet RPG-7, reports MIC with reference to armyrecognition.com.
“The grenade launcher can fire all types of ammunition for RPGs, and is equipped with a pistol grip“ borrowed ”from the M4 / M16 rifle, as well as clamps for mounting Picatinny slats, on which additional accessories can be mounted”, - said in a statement.
Weight without sight - 6,35 kg. At the company's booth, it was demonstrated with Picatinny X-bars, a telescopic sight (the collimator sight is standard) and a bipod for firing while lying.
The collimator sight, according to the developers, makes it possible to hit the target at a distance of up to 800. Optical sights, on the other hand, can hit objects from a distance of up to 2 km.
As the newspaper notes, the Soviet RPG-7 is used by American military instructors to train allies in Iraq and Afghanistan. Grenade launchers are being bought in Bulgaria and Poland, where they are in service.
Reports on the development of RPG-7 clones first appeared in January 2015.
