The latest Chinese BMP got into the lenses of the trainers
New chinese tank industry was created on the basis of the BMP ZBD-04, which was adopted in 2004. When creating the updated combat vehicle, the practical experience of operating the ZBD-04 was taken into account.
The Chinese machine, in contrast to the Russian-made BMP-3, has a layout with a rear arrangement of the troop compartment and a front one - MTO (right).
A large angle of inclination has an upper frontal part. The driver's seat is located at the front left. Three periscope surveillance devices are located around the hatch. Behind the driver's seat is the seat arrow, equipped with its own hatch. On the roof on the right side of the hull there are air intake grilles and engine compartment radiators. The fighting compartment, which has a double tower, is located in the center and shifted to the stern. Now the tower is significantly different from the one installed on the BMP-3. The crew of the vehicle consists of a 3 man (commander, gunner-operator and driver-mechanic), troops from 5 to 7 man.
Arms BMP include: mounted in a single mask 100-millimeter launcher (a copy of the Russian-made 2А70 gun) for firing guided missiles and projectiles; 30-mm automatic cannon and 7,62-mm machine gun (PKT).
Of course, the characteristics of the new BMP (received, allegedly, the naming of ZBD-08) are classified, but in appearance it is possible to draw some conclusions. For example, the armor protection of the turret and hull is reinforced; it is probably of modular type. The gunner-operator received an additional channel for aiming and observing.
It can be assumed that the commander was able to duplicate the actions of the gunner at night, because even though he had a panoramic sight, he apparently has limited opportunities to act at night. At best, there could be placed a night infrared channel, significantly inferior to the thermal imaging in distance and, if possible, work in difficult conditions.
In the aft BMP installed air conditioning designed to improve the conditions of habitability. Observers have noticed that the output windows of jet propulsion units have been significantly reduced, and in the stern above the tracks there are hydrodynamic grids similar to those of Russian cars.
It can be assumed that the BMP has a more powerful engine, since the weight of the machine has increased, and the speed has remained within 65-70 km / h.
