Latvia and Estonia will calculate the damage from the "Soviet occupation" by the general method

Latvian and Estonian experts discussed at a round table at the Estonian Ministry of Justice a unified methodology for calculating losses incurred by the republics as a result of the “Soviet occupation”, and outlined further joint actions, reports RIA News message of the Postimee newspaper.

Latvia and Estonia will calculate the damage from the "Soviet occupation" by the general method

“Yesterday 25 turned years since the independence of Estonia was restored. The preceding two generations of slavery caused countless suffering to our people. You cannot create the future without realizing the past. We must be courageous and defend our rights, it will make us stronger ”,
said Estonian Justice Minister Urmas Reinsalu.

The Latvian side (the Ministry of Justice commission working with 2005 d) submitted its data concerning this period. “It was discussed how to create a general investigation methodology. The plan is to take further steps to explore issues related to the "occupation" on the basis of a common methodology. The Latvian Commission has been working on their decision for 11 for years, the investigation is planned to be completed by 2020, ”the article says.

“At today's meeting, we agreed that we will continue to work together and this autumn we will meet with the participation of Lithuania to work together to assess the damage caused by the occupation. We believe that widespread publicity of the consequences of the occupation is necessary. This is the only way people will get the idea of how great the losses were, ”said the head of the Latvian delegation, Ruta Pazdere.

Earlier, Reinsalu declared that Russia is the successor of the USSR, and this fact allows the Baltic countries to make claims to Moscow for the “occupation period”.

In the state archives of the Baltic republics there are a large number of photos and film materials that indicate the ceremonial meeting of Soviet troops by the population of these republics in 1940.

For example, there are photographs confirming that on July 2, 1940, a 30-strong military parade of Lithuanian military units took place in Kaunas, the capital of the Republic of Lithuania (LR). Those marching on it carried red Soviet flags and posters: “Long live Comrade Stalin! Long live the thirteenth Soviet republic! ”

It should not be forgotten that in June 1940 the transfer of power by the President of the Republic of Lithuania Antanas Smetona to the Prime Minister Antanas Merkis, and then to the People’s Government of Lithuania, was carried out in strict accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania of 1938. This is a legally proven fact.

I will also refer to the famous Estonian historian Magnus Ilmjärv. He, with the assistance of the Helsinki and Stockholm universities, prepared and published in 2004 the fundamental work “Quiet Submission. Formation of foreign policy of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia since the mid-1920s. before the annexation of 1940. " In it, M. Ilmyarv proved that there were no grounds for qualifying the events of 1940 in the Baltic states as occupation, and the inclusion of these countries in the USSR was the result of a fiasco of state-building processes in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia in the interwar period 1918-1940.

And I recently visited Riga ... I went to the "museum of occupation" for interest. The museum itself is closed (there was a fire), it was moved to another building. Well, what can I tell you, admission is free. But, at the entrance there is a box for handouts, whoever wants to - he can throw a lot of coins there. Passed by. On the second floor there is an exposition: red banners on which the whole difficult fate of the Latvian sufferers is written. Everything is designed like stands, no documents of that time, declassified archives, etc. I myself can make such stands and write anything! There stands with Soviet symbols are mixed with stands with a Nazi swastika. They are trying to equate one with the other. Everything is qualitatively translated into English (apparently for gay Europeans and visitors). Monitors are built into the walls on which in English they tell about the occupation, camps, etc. incomprehensible old men and women (like some kind of discovery channel). No evidence, evidence or confirmation has been provided. Relying on a stupid man in the street who does not wake up dolmy, but completely believe everything that is written on the transporters. You can't take pictures there, so I took the pictures, but not of the best quality.

And the parquet is Soviet. The inheritance from the museum of the revolution went to, which was in this building, so to speak.
Interestingly, the museum of what will be there during the next change of power, and judging by the standard of living of ordinary citizens, it is not far off.

Russian parliamentarians are asking the relevant departments “to prepare the necessary materials for the procedural proof of the groundlessness of the claims of the Baltic countries against Russia regarding compensation for damage from the so-called Soviet occupation in international judicial bodies, as well as to put forward counterclaims for compensation for the losses and expenses outlined above.”

The appeal of Obukhov and Rashkin (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) indicates the amounts that the Russian Empire paid to Sweden in compensation for Lifland (present-day Estonia. - RT) in the 2th century, which went to Russia as a result of the Northern War, and to the Duke of Courland as payment for Kurland ( territory of modern Latvia. - RT). This is 1,4 million yefimkov and 100 million thalers, respectively. “According to some estimates, in terms of the current rate, the indicated amounts are equivalent to $ 30 and $ XNUMX billion, respectively,” Izvestia quotes the text of the appeal.

According to the newspaper, the deputies note that the Baltic countries became part of the USSR on the basis of statements received from the highest authorities of the Baltic states - this process "met all international law as of 1940 and subsequently received official international recognition."

In addition, parliamentarians emphasize that the amount spent by the Soviet government on the post-war reconstruction of the Baltic countries may be significantly higher than the baseless claims put forward by these republics today.

The appeal said that the Bank of Russia and Vnesheconombank estimated the debt of the Baltic countries: according to the calculations of financial institutions, the total debt of these states “in foreign currency obligations” to the USSR is $ 3,06 billion, the publication reports.

The parquet, I see, is still "occupant".

Hike, they will run into - they will have to, if in return we calculate investments in the Baltic "showcases".

But, in essence - you have obsessive delusions - in the forest, in the sense, you went, nafig, from the Russian market.

Actually, the logic of these "states" is akin to ukrologic: and so inside these countries it is economically sucks, but they persistently continue to "eat cactus".

As far as I know, the Balts are ending their "lafa" - the very transitional period when they had all sorts of benefits from the Geyrosoyuz. These countries are recipient countries that receive more from the game cup than they put in, and in Germany, as the donor country, dissatisfaction with this situation is growing more and more.
More and more voices sound - enough to "feed" the rest. Doesn't it look like anything? wink

Do you know what struck me the most? The number of homeless people and all kinds of drunken rags at the bus station at 5 am. I personally saw how one such subject was kicked out of the bus station with a baton. Slandering him in the language of the "occupiers". This was the first impression of Riga. Although, I can say that the majority of residents are adequate. Communicate in Russian (and they can do everything, and not like in Lithuania and Estonia) if you ask something. But the sediment remained all the same.
Parquet, yes, "occupant". But, and this building is temporary, the main one burned out.

09.17. You can, of course, and neighing. But there is nothing funny. Russia is the legal successor of the USSR. Our leadership unanimously condemns the Soviet past. Balts condemn and we condemn. If the Soviet regime was criminal and our government recognizes this, then the next step is to recognize the occupation and pay compensation. That is why our leadership is holding on to the Soviet past a bit. But in fact we were driven into a corner. After all, we recognize the Red Terror, repression, the Gulag, the criminal Soviet rule and the dictatorship of Stalin. After all, there is such agreement in our government. Be it at least GDP, at least DAM, at least Zakharov. We recognize the Memorial, Kolchak and Mannerheim, and honor the memory of Yeltsin by opening the Yeltsin Center where our leadership was noted. Even at the Victory Parade, we hide the mausoleum and the T-34 comes with the symbols of modern Russia, not the USSR. Can you imagine Peter the Great with Soviet symbols? But in Soviet times, this was not. And Peter was portrayed with the symbols of that time. Like Nevsky and Monomakh. And our symbolism is moving towards the American. We ourselves have allowed this attitude to ourselves. On criminal terms, we were lowered. And we agreed with this and still agree to be omitted. But if we agree to be left out, why should the West be against it? We pretend to be offended, but try to integrate into the Western system on any roles. Do you honestly like these people? Why should the West respect a society that wants to stick to another? And then we are offended, they do not love us! Do we love traitors? But we ourselves surrendered our country in the 90s. We love each other boasting about our greatness. And with what have we surpassed the West? You can certainly scold the Balts. But first you need to look at yourself. And the Balts need to evaluate the achievements of freedom from the Soviets and Russia. What has the Baltic states achieved during their independence? Multiplied the legacy of the USSR? Technologically bypassed Germany? Or caught up with Zimbabwe?

Most likely, all these international courts will support the claims of the Baltic states - against Russia ...

        Courts, courts ...

As a vivid example - the Olympics were beaten to us without any courts ... And yesterday, the director of this fucking WADA publicly acknowledged that ALL claims to Russian athletes have absolutely no basis and evidence ...

But the Olympics have spoiled us as soon as they could !!!
And in the courts they will cheer with the claims of the Baltic states, bowing Russia to the whole world ...

We need to specifically calculate, roll out the amount - and say, if you are suing - get this towards it ... And then spit and forget about it ...

unified methodology for calculating the losses incurred by the republics as a result of the "Soviet occupation"

Well, this topic has been discussed more than once on VO. Therefore - "the office counts", and reality dictates its conditions. It is high time for Russia to bill the Baltics (all) for the built enterprises, for raising these republics out of shit after the Second World War, for billions (trillions) of rubles invested in them to the detriment of other republics of the USSR. We have already gotten the "undershoots" with our claims.

In such cases, I recall the old Italian joke: In the gynecologist’s office there is a signora of eighty years, after examination. The doctor discouragedly leafing through the questionnaire: -Signora Alessia, I can’t understand at all, it indicates that you were married three times .... but, excuse me, you are a virgin! Granny replies: - Everything is very simple, the first husband was a conservative, suffered from impotence, the second was a democrat, was blue, but the third was a communist, you know, they do everything through the ass ....

As for the times after the USSR, remember what Russia got. There is no way without an allegory: They dragged a cart loaded with boulders of fifteen republics up the hill, even if someone was messing with it (remember the tale about the old man and the turnip), but it turned out badly in a common team. And then the wheel of the cart breaks, fourteen "partners" at the moment were scattered on the sides, and Russia was left alone in the team. I had to stop the cart, which had rolled back, to repair the wheels, to throw off excess stones. Everything would be fine, the eyes are afraid of the hands doing, but they interfered, grabbed the hands, kicked, shouted, whinnied and pointed. Have endured. We survived. We drove on. Now we are dragging only our own and it is already easier. Look, a little more and she will go.

As for everyone else, they were immediately harnessed by another uncle. With a goatee and in a weird top hat. Someone harnessed to the front, someone pushing from behind, pretending to be free of yoke. Somewhere like that. We do not need farm laborers, nor do we need voluntary assistants. We have broad shoulders and a sober head. And we work for ourselves. And the rest, even up to goat diarrhea, from the promised gingerbread cookies. Spit. No emotion. Cold contempt.

Earlier, Reinsalu stated that Russia is the legal successor of the USSR, and this fact allows the Baltic countries to make claims to Moscow for the "occupation period"

Let all the accounts be presented to the European Union and to ourselves, for having destroyed everything that we could live for. And it's time to present them with bills for the land on which they illegally live, Peter I paid for this land with a ringing silver coin.

I think this exciting action will last for another couple of decades, a kind of Bolt's "Santa Barbara"

Gluuuboko wrong, dear. These actions are enshrined in the form of law. Whatever, according to your Santa Barbara, it is necessary to remove the law. And terminating a specific law is very difficult.

Termination of the law is the result of the knowledge and subsequent recognition that the goal of legal regulation is fully achieved, or during the course of this act there is an “unrecoverable” (inevitable) deviation (positive or negative) in the development of legal relations from the original goal. In this regard, it is required to complete the operation of such a law in order to prevent unjustified competition of sources of law, eliminate the uncertainty of the choice of the necessary legal regulator by addressees, and make rational and accurate use of collateral resources.

Translated into "human" language, in this case it is practically impossible. Another question is, why did the Baltic republics need to burn bridges? After all, such concretized laws put an end to normal relations with the Russian Federation. Most likely they were imposed by "non-governmental" organizations as a guarantee of vassal relations with the West. There was also hope for the collapse of Russia and the opportunity, thanks to these laws, to pinch off a tuft of wool when dividing the carcass of a defeated bear.

"We believe that widespread publicity of the consequences of the occupation is necessary." That's for sure. According to official figures, over 25 people have left Estonia in 270 years. And how many in fact, no one says. Approximately 000 people leave each year. And while working youth is leaving. Elderly people remain.
With the "publicity of the occupation" it does not even stutter how many factories have been plundered, sold and broken by the new authorities of Estonia. The construction of entire microdistricts, the rise of industry and animal husbandry, no one even says, as if they did not build it. All comparisons of the "successes" of the so-called remnants of the Estonian industry occur ONLY against the background of the previous year. Yes, this is understandable, how can one compare industry cattle breeding, the construction of entire residential areas with what ... there is no trace now, I mean the period before 1991. So they rejoice, rage and flaunt themselves. Whatever the child doesn’t indulge himself (with a lie) so long as he doesn’t cry. Everything turns out exactly the opposite. The only pride of Estonia, the Kalev candy factory, was left, and that one was sold under the hammer. Norwegians. They have sailed, there is no more pride, only anger remains.

And what else remains for them to do when all that has been left to freebies from a great power has already been asked, but there are no ideas how to improve the economy. The budget for a third consists of Euro handouts, debts totaled several billion, NATO requires 2%, the population is dying out and flees from the country, officials in percentage terms as much as no country in the world has, but also roads, medicine, education, pensioners, etc.

Then they will remember non-citizens, and their jackal ambition under the wing of the United States, and all this dirt poured on Russia and the Russians. One could also understand if they lived somewhere in Africa or South America. But how many brains does it take to understand that living next to a huge and strong power, you need to be friends, and not bark. An old Russian proverb: “Tell me who your friend is, and I will tell you who you are.” Moreover, the “national self-determination” of all these newly-minted “peoples”, with their “thousand-year history,” happened in the 19th century as part of Russia, and “independence” fell from the sky for them, just like that. Unlike the Russians, who defended their place in the sun for many centuries (if not millennia). It remains to remind them of one more proverb, “He who laughs last laughs.” In the meantime, grin and remember to record all these “statements”, then Russia will ask.

I didn’t notice the occupation, do you hear, Lithuanians, hey? There was no occupation administration where you had to register your arrival, there were no patrols on the streets, the Lithuanian language sounded on a par with Russian. At the plant where I came on a business trip, the director was a Lithuanian, the chief engineer was a Lithuanian, and the supply manager was a Lithuanian. The Lithuanian was also in charge of information. I came to visit, I felt among friends who warmly received me, whom I also warmly received in Russia.
So what about today? A group of people who seized power in Lithuania, came in large numbers from exile, sent NATO and US occupation troops into the country, essentially dispersing Lithuanian citizens abroad and into extinction. And now you’re also involved in racketeering?

    Region 34,
Don't you know that in all did times find distortions and deviations of past years of rule?
The Balts will have endless moans and complaints, but they have lost everything under American occupation in the last 25 years and they cannot dispute this. What they lost were real “factories and ships”, and not those that could have appeared if ....... .
No one will create such a precedent because of them! Can you imagine how many people on our balloon will follow their example? There will be both Mohicans and Sioux there.

    Bloodsucker,
In 91, at a referendum, the citizens of these republics spoke in favor of preserving the USSR, it turns out that entry was voluntary and the citizens did not intend to be liberated; exit was not envisaged. You can't get by with "compensation"; see a doctor.

sorry mua, he throws from form to form, the site is still raw, sawing and sawing, tossed in a separate message and without a quote.
Please, the option to view new messages must be returned, because it is inconvenient not to view all the comments again every time.

Yes, EVERYTHING is bad in the new interface. The enemies of the communists have some kind of passion to make bad out of good, and very bad out of bad.

But all of them will not calm down. And why all? Because they were allowed to do this.
What are we still transporting through the Pro-Baltic? The flows need to be redirected...

“Yesterday marked 25 years since Estonia’s independence was restored. The two generations of slavery that preceded it caused countless suffering to our people. You cannot create the future without understanding the past. We must be brave and stand up for our rights, this will make us stronger."

Do you have any complaints against the fascists? Or maybe you are one of these yourself?

We are waiting for “the donkey to speak, the padishah to die, or the translator from the “ancient Baldean” to get tired of talking nonsense.”

Russia needs to calculate how many rubles were invested in the development of the economies of these two countries and present it to them, with interest as on a loan.

Let them count and stroke their pride. Let them go to court, how they will prove the occupation. If they rely on the good Uncle Sam, they are in vain, this is not the nineties. “Uncle Sam is now at risk of getting punched in the teeth.

We must feel sorry for them. They lived like human beings, made electric trains, cars, radio equipment, had a fishing fleet, and fished in the world's oceans. There is nothing now. Young people are leaving. The Anglo-Saxons assigned to the people who once built communism (let's leave the question of how and why) the role of mongrels from the gateway, barking at Russia in order to anger and provoke an incident. This is a tragedy. They won't achieve anything with their writing, they know it. But the order from the Anglo-Saxon slave owners is sacred. They exchanged the Soviet “occupation” for the slavery of the Anglo-Saxons, but there is no mental strength to admit it. "Woe to the vanquished"

Our leadership unanimously condemns the Soviet past.

What kind of utter nonsense are you talking about?

Latvians, like crests, also lick ass for money. They think that you gave them money for development, but it didn’t turn out that they were licking their ass for this money
