Based on this concept, all plans of recent military exercises were built, when units of the Airborne Forces from the interior of the country were transferred to previously unknown theaters: the Far East, the Caucasus, the Arctic. At one of the last exercises, the troops were landed without preliminary preparation on the drifting ice floe near the North Pole, and the landing site was not prepared in advance, ”the article says.
According to the interlocutor, “practicing the skills of conducting combat operations under water and in the dungeon are new elements in the training program for both cadets of the Airborne Forces and Military Forces and airborne troops”.
“It is important to develop not only skills, but also moral and psychological qualities when working in complete darkness and confined space. The ability to use modern thermal imaging equipment is also being developed, ”he explained.
