Honest but naive germans

Quite often there are articles and reports in the German media about Russia, and in Russian, they often speak and publish about our country. At first glance it’s cool, at first glance it’s interesting, at first glance it’s wonderful. People are interested in our country, study it, write about it, just fiction. But there is a problem, a problem that makes all this “creativity” absolutely meaningless.

You know that when you are going to another country, you are studying information about it, guidebooks, etc. Well, to have to start at least some idea of her. But here you come, here you live in it for several months (years). Sorry, but you no longer need any “guides” and standard informational references for foreign tourists. You yourself know a lot. Already. You yourself could tell a lot, if you were given the floor.

That does not happen to the Germans of this qualitative leap. Why are the Germans? It is they who most actively “work” with Russia, and it is for them that this quality is manifested most clearly. There are certain stamps, standard views and installations for any country, we also have them. But they are forgivable to a worker from the Chelyabinsk Pipe Mill, who has never been to Paris (although he dreamed).

If our journalist, who lives in Paris, starts broadcasting in the same way, they will not understand him. They will not understand him very much. People will decide that he or an idiot, or mocks them. No, in Soviet times it, of course, rolled, but today ... Even without going anywhere, you can read a bunch of articles and blogs, such as Scotland, in Russian, and watch a bunch of videos. Internet, however. Our comrades living in Germany write a lot and interestingly (their legion!). A lot of interesting things you can learn about the United States or Canada. It's simple: the person lived / lives there, writes the truth and in Russian. And even about Australia ...

Against this background, there is German journalism about Russia. Laughter and tears. The problem is: initially in Germany a certain “information model” is constructed: how German politicians / editors of newspapers see Russia and how Germans should see it. A set of stamps, stereotypes, in short, "a guide for a German journalist in Russia." And so, on this basis, all further coverage of Russian realities is underway.

Moreover, a person can live in Russia for several years, he can speak Russian well, this does not change the picture. I am not talking here about a benevolent / unfriendly attitude towards our country, this is not the point. You can be very hostile to the same America (and even keep on the sideboard a copy of the nuclear briefcase painted under Gzhel), but you need a clear picture of their problems and opportunities, and not a hurray-patriotic propaganda dummy. We understand this most. And the articles written according to the principle: we are great, and the Americans are scoundrels, will meet a very cool reaction.

No one needs this and no one is interested, except for teenagers and housewives. Such articles were popular in the days of Khrushchev and earlier. Now somehow the people look at life more soberly. That is, competent journalism should create an objective picture of a foreign country, and not breed myths. But this is exactly what happens in German journalism. Why is contact with the Germans so difficult? In principle, they do not understand what today's Russia is, moreover, such a misunderstanding is present on all floors of society.

The sanctions were introduced with the aim to quickly overturn the backward and oil-dependent Russian economy and thereby overturn the "corrupt Putin regime." And what do we have today? Good question. The complete failure of German foreign policy in the east is explained precisely by this — wonderful German journalism and German leaders who derive “information about Russia” from it. Congratulations, gentlemen. Apparently, the reports of the German intelligence are very strongly correlated with the writings of German journalists, or directly written "based on" the fresh and "non-living" German press.

We read all this and laugh, and they "analyze" it and draw "conclusions." If we proceed from the real state of the Russian economy and the Russian state at the beginning of 2014, then the actions of the German leadership are absolutely incomprehensible, but if we proceed from the propaganda picture about the “corrupt third world country” ... Then everything falls into place. These "idiots" themselves spread their propaganda and themselves believe in it. And today they are in shock: everything went wrong. When in 1870 the Prussians prepared to “podpodat” Napoleon III, they literally learned everything in the frontier French lands, to the last farm and the last barn. This was the reason for their brilliant successes.

Is it possible to oppose a serious opponent, basing his actions on his own propaganda? That is why the Germans got what happened. Crimea with Sevastopol went to Russia, and it is almost impossible to accept Ukraine into NATO, torn apart by the civil war and opposition of clans. It was planned all the way around. Planned on the materials of the German press. The result is quite funny. By the way, it is from there that the legs of the “Olympic scandal” grow from the Russian team.

The idea is to somehow hook Russia. Such are the Germans of politics. By the way, given their innate Russophobia, it’s not at all clear whether it’s good or bad that they are not so informed about Russia ... In any case, as a rule, for some reason they sincerely believed that Western democracies are insanely popular in Russia, and the “regime” ready to crumble at the slightest push. Well, there was something similar in Ukraine, but there are not so many enthusiastic idiots in Russia. That is why we all ended up where we were.

The European integration of Ukraine was supposed to be the political triumph of Angela Merkel, but some kind of nonsense turned out: Ukraine is falling apart, the Minsk process is endless, relations with Russia are hopelessly corrupted ... Where are the successes? No success. And they do not understand what to do next, absolutely. This is what politics means based on information from its own propagandists. And the Germans do not understand why Russia does not fall, why the regime is not overthrown, why the "opposition" has a zero rating.

And here - a scandal with the Russian Olympians ... I swear to God. No, guys, of course, sorry, they are not to blame. But such pitiful political aspirations can only mock. After all, it was the “honest” German TV channel that unleashed this whole bodyguard. What is interesting is that the Germans love to flaunt their honesty and integrity. By this, by the way, they explain the imposition of sanctions: a violation of international law is unacceptable. The problem is that the coup in Kiev, supported and sponsored, including by Germany, did not cause any negative emotions. So it was necessary, it is not discussed.

As in principle, the presence of "non-citizens" in the EU. This is an internal affair of the Baltic countries, such is the official position of Berlin. I do not know how it is with the use of doping in Russian sports, but approximately when the whole Sabbath was going on around Russian athletes, ethnic cleansing and shelling of residential areas took place in the Donbas. But not a word of criticism, we have not heard. So it is necessary, it is not discussed. That is, the German honesty and integrity has a very specific focus: they are still terribly outraged that Putin "deceived them with the Crimea." The situation when Steinmeier signed something with Yanukovych, after which a coup took place immediately and they started shooting at Yanukovych, they are not at all embarrassed.

I think we all met such "honest and principled" people who like to demonstrate their honesty and integrity in a strictly allotted time and in a specially selected place. For some reason, the Germans are very concerned about corruption in Russia, and the regime is also worried. What is good, they are absolutely calm for Ukraine, and you will not hear any criticism about the torch marches in Kiev. But we understand that a relatively normal Ukraine is living out its last months: a collapsed economy, poverty, lawlessness — all this must inevitably explode. Sooner or later.

The old society (its remnants) is living out the last days in Ukraine, and powerful glimpses of instability are already visible. A fascist dictatorship would probably be the best option (compared to post-apocalypse), but it also needs certain resources that are not there. And there is no power, which would be at least somewhat respected. Neither Mussolini nor Franco is visible on the horizon. Something terrible is waiting for Ukraine and the Ukrainians (one of the symptoms is the constant accidents at nuclear power plants). But what does the honest and principled German press think about this?

And thinks nothing. No, wait, nuclear safety is very, very serious. Germans even nuclear power plants at home stop because fear and fear. And here, actually close to the EU, such a mess is going on. Accidents are a series. At nuclear power units ... God forbid, this would be happening in Russia ... The whole German press would be wrung and described with horror. If only they would write about it. German politicians (honest and principled) would make alarming statements about European security ...

Meetings would be held in the European Parliament. And then ... silence. Complete! No one is interested. Although Ukraine is even closer than Russia, but not interested. Non-rated topic. Zero emotion. Because here it is like with the Kiev fascists: if you write the truth, you will have to admit that the Germans helped to overthrow democracy and open the way for gangs of various scumbags. Ugly, therefore do not write anything. So with nuclear power plants. Silent, ss.

No, the problem of doping in sport is, of course, a very serious topic, but how can it affect an ordinary German or Russian? No way! This is somewhere far away from our lives. But the swindling atomic block is a completely different calico. And it cannot be said that the problem is “far-fetched”, a very vital problem. But no one does not conduct any “investigations” and does not intend to conduct them. There is no sign.

In principle, due to the ill-conceived, adventurous actions of the Chancellors, Europe risks getting just a set of catastrophes in Ukraine: military (possible collision with Russia), nuclear (emergency failure of power units), humanitarian (collapse of the Ukrainian economy and millions of refugees from there). But none of the German journalists wrote that Merkel was fatally mistaken. People are going to Russia and, skeptically squinting, look for the shortcomings of the “Putin regime”. The “Putin regime” can be very bad or very good, but he is not going to “giggle” in the near future and drag millions of “honest citizens” behind him, and he does not ask for money from the Germans. And the country of the "chocolate emperor" is just about to "play in the box." And just the other day. And desperately begging the Germans for billions of food.

But in Germany it is absolutely not interesting to anyone. And no one is going to help Ukraine. Because it very very expensive. You are interested in "social project", which will devour a bunch Your of money? Not? Do not even look at the paper? Here is the same thing. Terrible and quite obvious events take place in Ukraine, but if you write about them in the German press, the question will inevitably arise, and who is to blame? And what to do with it? I, you know, have a strong suspicion that the first in stories Germany Chancellor for the next term will not go. She does not need this, it will turn out too sadly.

I do not know how technically this is possible, but I would not wish anyone to be responsible for what is going on in Germany and the EU in the next five years. And the problem is not only in Ukraine. But the honest, principled and straightforward German press does not, in general, raise the noise, and specifically in Ukraine too. Stupidly pull time. Approximately, as at us in late USSR. “Everything is fine, beautiful Frau Chancellor!” Everything is just great ...

That is, in theory, the Germans should have Merkel removed from office and tried (as we in time Gorbachev). She caused very serious damage to German national interests, she allliterally all has done not this way. By the end of her second term it becomes obvious. The whole system of the European Union is peddling. Here at Schröder or Kohl such a mess did not have. Rate How the situation has changed in the European Union and Germany over the past 10 years ...

But here a certain psychological trait of the Germans works. We “on the machine” consider them “Europeans”, but not everything is so simple. The strongest loyalty to the parent brings them in many ways with the Japanese and the Far East. Therefore, at first glance, this “European” people died unconditionally for the Fuhrer / Kaiser, even when the next world war was obviously lost to everyone.

So, perhaps, there is no “cunning plan of Mitteloirop”, there is an absolutely incompetent and terribly ambitious Frau Chancellor, which pulls Germany into the abyss. But the Germans are a disciplined people, their “protection against a fool” never works, they are running along behind them (Hammelnian rat-catchers are “theirs”). And already the “locomotive Germany” pulls into the abyss all of Europe. One of the versions of the sudden Brexit: the British understood all this (much earlier, of course). And, despite any possible problems, they went "on the way out." Without explaining anything to anyone, although there will be problems like the sea: the Scots and the Northern Irish are buzzing and want "the dictatorship of Brussels." The EU is furious, the United States is extremely dissatisfied ...

However, gentlemen, seizing pot, rushed to the exit. Why did it happen? Obviously, they know something that others do not even guess ... Or they are afraid to guess. The tragedy of Europe is precisely in the slaughter national cocktail “Germany”: on the one hand, the Germans are absolutely European adventurous (those who do not take risks do not drink champagne); on the other hand, they are extremely energetic and persistent in achieving their goals (also quite in a European way); and on the third hand, in Germany there is in many respects an uncritical respect for senior officials (which we never understand), which is characteristic of Japan / Korea. For Russian, the most detailed instructions and the most strict instructions from above are never completely removed. moral responsibility for his actions, for the German, they are completely removed (that is, we have conscience and morality - individual concepts, they have collective concepts). Plus, today Germany is Europe’s economic and banking locomotive ...

Thus, the system is a powerful, dynamic and ambitious, but “without brakes” and without a “king in the head”. It was this Germany that twice turned Europe into a pile of debris, not wanting "nothing wrong." Therefore, it is absolutely impossible for us to talk with Germany today: they certainly have morality, as well as principles, but this is all “manual and pocket”, it does not apply to others (that is, people first “sharpen” morality their current tasks, and then sincerely admire their “integrity”); They see no Russia as an equal partner for negotiations in any case (for the last two years they have simply refused to speak); their doubts and hesitations are also absent (they act in strict accordance with the received from above instructions and the question: “Why do you tolerate Putin?” - it comes to their mind very easily, but the question: “Why do we tolerate Merkel?” - will never come). Therefore, everything is sad, the situation in Eastern Europe will only degrade (to the delight of the reckless Poles!).

But for some reason, the Germans have not learned to understand, despite the two worlds. And Vysotsky was indignant: "Do not think, with us the one who decides everything for us ..." And Rezun was making fun of the Führer-principle: "The Führer is always right." And there is nothing to laugh here and there is nothing to resent. This is how the German people work. That is why the almost open support of neo-Nazis in the same Ukraine and in the Baltic states did not cause any political scandals in Germany. Such is the German people: honest and open, but pragmatic and disciplined.

Moreover, they really were once, only 1000 years ago, they were, 95% of the population only some 1000 years ago still spoke the Western dialect of the Russian language, even the former religious capital of the Rus of Arkona was in the territory of modern Germany ( abandoned now). True, Germany is now inhabited by a representative of another (Turkish-speaking) ethnic group R1b1 (45% already speak), and their language is now barking (Ain, Schwein, Drayn). And the occupation media completely brainwashed them completely. And the troops are foreign, overseas still stand there.

It’s interesting: "there are many such territories that used to be ours." And the Germans, it turns out, have zero such territories? Where did they come from? Did they fall from the moon? Are all the territories that you consider ours to be? For examples, I think you don't have to go far ...

Someone doesn’t bother us either to consider ourselves a great nation or country, but it’s quite difficult to do if I love Russia more than my Russian friend who flatly refuses to send his son to the army and didn’t serve himself. I don’t want to breed demagogy here, but I come across such examples daily. It is necessary to restore order and educate the generation of patriots of Russia in their country and not dough as it is now.

I suspect that "the most honest German journalist whores" are from the western lands, everything is clear with them. And with the eastern ones, too, problems, when talking, ahead of the conversation that has not yet begun, wedge in the phrase: "Neither my father nor grandfather fought with the Russians." about doping they are in demand, the GDR was always surprised by a small country, and almost one in five champions in sports.
Doping in the GDR in those years was not carried out. For this reason, almost all the athletes who used it were engaged in its purchases abroad, and all this was sponsored by the DTSB - the Sports Support Bureau. Later, a different method was found, all doping purchases were made in West Berlin, and they were carried out by the Ministry of State Security. In the book of Dr. Spitzer, which mentioned doping in the GDR, a report is described, Dr. Müller - "Organization of providing athletes with pharmaceuticals from Western Germany."

Yes, the article is written for writing and no more. Moreover, it is clear to everyone that it is not the media that sets the tone, they only broadcast the trend that dominates society and is desirable for it, for its political elite. But why the Germans want to see us as they describe us is another question, maybe this is a consequence of the occupation in which Germany is currently located. Or does someone want to say that after the war Germany still gained its full independence in all areas of state activity ?!

German politicians know very well what is happening in Russia and Ukraine. But it is one thing to know, and another to adhere to the strict "party" line drawn from overseas. As long as Merkel, like Obama's faithful poodle, looks into his mouth, this policy will not only continue, but from time to time and become aggravated. It is correctly written that the Germans are a disciplined people. The Chancellor is at the forefront, but patience is not ironclad.

In some ways, the author is right, but in some, in my opinion, not quite.
The Germans are primarily neat, if I may say so.
They act strictly according to the instructions. But who writes the instructions for them today is completely clear.
I do not agree that the Germans are Russophobes. They are rather arrogant towards us and are wary (a lot of surprises Russia presented to Germany when, it would seem, everything had to go according to their plan, historically starting from the ice battle). And rabid anti-Russian propaganda lays down on this, one might say genetic, alertness like a grain on well-manicured soil.
As for Frau Merkel, if anyone remembers, in 2014. her rhetoric changed dramatically after being summoned to the carpet at the White House. At that time, the media wondered what the Americans were "listening to" that was so cool pinching the highly raised tail of Frau Chancellor.
And yes, unfortunately, neither Germany nor France has their own policies, namely they are the most authoritative states for Europeans.

The author correctly noted the main difference between Russians and Germans and other "Europeans": a Russian person lives and acts according to his life experience, his morality, developed on the basis of the experience of generations, while he can do good or bad, but in any case, the Russian person answers to by himself for his actions and bears moral responsibility for his actions, that is, he often lives and acts "according to concepts" than "according to the law." The European, on the other hand, delegated his morality to the law-written rules, moreover, to any rules-state or established by a company, a firm, no matter, if only it was written down and adopted “officially”. The basic rule of Europeans: "Freedom is within the law. We do only what is written in the rules. Responsibility is on those who wrote these rules." The author of the article is surprised that the Germans, and indeed all Europeans, continue to persist in following the false information about Russia imposed on them by the false media and politicians, even if they themselves see something completely different. But, in fact, there is nothing "strange" and "incomprehensible" here, the fact is that in Europe (and in Germany especially) the "cult of professionalism" is extremely strong - that is, a respectful attitude towards people who have achieved something in the professional, the political sphere and have risen to heights in their careers, business, social status, etc. And such people in Europe enjoy unconditional trust and authority. Hence, at first glance, stems from the "dull" trust of Germans and other Europeans in their media and the speeches of their politicians. Ordinary Germans and Europeans reason like this: "I am a professional in my field and all other professionals in my field too, so people working in the media and politicians are also professionals in their field, too, and since they are professionals, they have information for me not accessible, they know more than me and can draw conclusions from this information better than me, which means I should not doubt what they say and their conclusions, they do it better than me, and I do not have time to do it. " That is, ordinary Germans, as the author correctly writes, shift the responsibility and the solution of non-“profile” issues onto the shoulders of “professionals” in this area, the media and politicians. But the trouble is that the level of "professionalism" in the media and politics in the West has fallen to a catastrophic degree and is far from what it was fifteen to twenty years ago, and it is not "professionals" but "populists" who work in the media and politics in Europe. (in the West they are called "big mouth guys" - "guys with big mouths") and amateurs, but ordinary burghers do not notice this and out of habit I continue to believe and completely trust them.

The author almost answered the question himself. There is German society and there are German media. And the German media on closer inspection are not German. Let's start with the television. Three or four television channels are state-owned. And these are not the most popular and not the most rated channels. More than a hundred popular and rated television channels are German clones of American television channels. The Germans delicately call them private TV channels, but it’s on these private American TV channels that rating TV shows and TV shows go, and it is these TV channels that young people watch. The situation is similar in print media. Putin during a television broadcast spoke quite clearly about the ownership of a German newspaper, after which his administration officially apologized, calling the newspaper German. But essentially Putin is right, as always. The newspaper is cleverly run from across the ocean. This is a paradox. In Germany, there are practically no national media outlets; non-German media outlets are brainwashing the people and making the necessary ratings. And being a German patriot is generally a shame. German patriots immediately recorded in the Nazis and begin to fight them. In this regard, the fate of one General of the Bundeswehr who became a deputy of the Bundestag 10 years ago is indicative. The general had the courage to say that there were practically no Germans in the Bundestag, and there were people of a completely different nationality. (approximately, as in the Ukrainian Rada). The general was from paratroopers. It is not surprising that after these bold speeches the general did not open a parachute during a jump from an airplane. So all German politicians have problem parachutes behind their backs.

Yeah. Alone, I believe that the chapters of harm let idiotic-naive articles pass to the press, which Merkel is guided by. Not funny yourself?
    Markers:
The complete failure of German foreign policy in the east is explained precisely by this - wonderful German journalism and German leaders who draw from it “information about Russia”.
Is it possible to oppose a serious adversary, basing his actions on his own propaganda? That is why the Germans did what happened.
In any case, as a rule, for some reason, they sincerely believed that Western democracies were insanely popular in Russia, and the “regime” was ready to collapse at the slightest push.
Eurointegration of Ukraine was supposed to be the political triumph of Angela Merkel, and it turned out to be some kind of nonsense: Ukraine is falling apart, an endless Minsk process is underway, relations with Russia are hopelessly spoiled ... Where are the successes? No success. And it is not clear to them what to do next, absolutely. This is what politics means, relying on information from its own propagandists.
But none of the German journalists writes that Merkel was fatally mistaken.
A valuable thing is to shield Merkel.
