What is the Moscow-1 EW complex?

46
It is very pleasant to write about something that no one wrote about before. As they call it, exclusive. And when exclusive multiply-charged ...

In general, we were fortunate enough to be the first journalists to enter the territory of one of the EW brigades in the Western Military District. And the "feel" that is no less pleasant, is really the latest complexes.

The hero of our today's report is the Moscow-1 complex.

So far there are not many of them, but by the end of this year the number of these complexes should be 10 units. The approximate cost of one complex is about 350 million rubles.

What is a "Moscow"?

The complex consists of three components based on KamAZ vehicles.

1. Power plant.
2. Electronic intelligence module REER 1ЛХNUMX.

It is intended for search, detection, direction finding, measurement of parameters and tracking of air sources of radiation operating in the radio frequency bands UHF, L, S, C, X, Ku.

3. Automated control station stations interference 1Л266.

Designed to determine the coordinates, support of air sources of radiation by the triangulation method, automated planning of combat tasks of the use of EW-C.

By planning combat missions we mean not only determining the coordinates of air targets, but also defining the characteristics of targets, followed by classification and assignment of importance.

If you translate into a more understandable language: "Krasuha", for example, is capable of detecting some kind of aerial target. Determine the range in which this target emits, and suppress the electronic components of the target. Completely

However, this is acceptable in the case when the goal is single, or two or three.

In the case of a massive appearance of targets, it is unambiguously necessary to recognize these targets, determine the order of mining them and give target designation for jamming stations.

In the case of the appearance in the control zone, for example, targets that correspond in characteristics to two fighters, four fighter-bombers and two cruise missiles launched by the crew of a strategic bomber. It is the calculation of the "Moscow" complex that should determine for whom it is necessary to work out first of all, and issue the appropriate target designation at the jamming station or at the air defense systems that can work with Moscow in a single bundle.

The range of "Moscow" 400 kilometers, viewing angle - 360 degrees. The complex is capable of simultaneously setting 9 tasks to controllable EW or air defense systems.

In principle, it can be said with confidence that “Moscow” is the next step in the development of the AKUB-22 complex, which has been in service with our EW forces for quite a long time. “Moscow” is rather a granddaughter rather than a daughter. AKUB-22 with all its positive features analog and somewhat ... cumbersome.

But go to the visualization of "Moscow".

Here are two of the three modules. The DER module was not deployed for an understandable reason. The presence of journalists. This is completely understandable and justified; nobody has canceled secrecy.

Generally, in contrast to the same "Ruby", "Moscow" does not look so epic. There is no automatically deployed antenna unit and other special effects. And cars are difficult to distinguish from others. Kung as kung.

Power station. The stomach of the complex, if you wish.

The control module in the process of deployment.

In general, everything looks quite modest and clumsy. Maybe even boring, in comparison with the same "Krasuhoy", if you do not know the essence.

Hydraulic "legs". With their help, the module can get on the ground, the car drives out from under it and drives off meters to the side of 30-100. For example, in the nearest gully. Unpleasant surprise for a potential enemy, if he intends to launch a rocket, focusing on the residual heat of the engine.

And if we take into account the fact that “Moscow” works passively, that is, according to the received signal, or according to data obtained from other stations, then we can say that it is quite an invisible control point.

We go inside.

There, too, a lot of things were missing from the kit, and it’s great, otherwise they wouldn’t have allowed us inside. The officer accompanying us carefully looked at the "giblets" and allowed the shooting. But not for long, because in the end we will need to be from the test site of that, and the rest will still be put.

Mini hozblok.

Communication section. Do not be surprised by the presence of the car radio, it is not here for entertainment calculation. Although you can listen to music, the basic purpose of a FM-band radio is somewhat different.

This is how operators' workplaces look. Chairs, by the way, are very comfortable, with adjustable backs and armrests, soft. I tried it. I just could not take a picture, did not get into the lens, because they were welded to the floor. But - rotate around its axis.

In general, everything is done quite nicely, without the usual army minimalism. Smoothed corners, smooth surfaces. Although there is something to shun his head out of habit.

Comrade captain said that everything, from the screw to the monitor, domestic production. Monica grew up in St. Petersburg. As an operating system, of course, not "Windows". Something simpler and not afraid of viruses and other troubles.

Here is such a small tour. And it's nice to know that "Moscow" is not tomorrow for our EW troops. It is today.

Technology and its capabilities are half the success, issues of coordination of efforts, literacy of actions of adjacent units - the second half. Let's hope that this bunch will work out with time, only time runs inexorably. Good luck, EW and others like you!

I will be indignant. The price tag of 500 million is completely horse!
What is there "unparalleled" for 500 lyamas? Three KAMAZ trucks for 10 million, equipment in them for 100 million, the rest is unmeasured appetites? Just don’t mind - they say the program for computers costs a lot of money. There is nothing difficult in triangulation: two synchronized receiver machines are spaced apart on the sides, a signal from the enemy arrives in one a little earlier to the other a little later, at the point where these lines intersect and there is an enemy.
In fact, it should be a mass and everyday thing in the army, and here the floor of the fighter. This is not a concern for the strength of the army, but a cynical drank.

The keyword is "synchronized". How will we synchronize, dear. On the radio, the complex becomes active. On the radar, and the relay is not cheap. By optical cable, digging a trench or erecting posts. You can, of course, drive a messenger ...
In the meantime, revenge I dare to draw your attention to the fact that the complex has 1 (one) direction finding module.

To the question in one of the articles, why the KAB-500S adjustable bombs are so expensive (after all, there is the GLONASS noise-resistant receiver and tail steering surfaces with servo drives there), namely 3 million rubles per bomb. I was told that the whole thing is a huge number of people responsible for secrecy, security, quality of products. Salaries of which are reflected in the cost of the final product.

Journalist - The hydraulic "legs" are called outriggers.
An "unpleasant" surprise in the form of a transport car driving off into the ravine is just a pearl! Don't you take into account that the complex has a constantly working generator? And with much more power than a car. And even its execution in a kunga will not provide complete infrared invisibility, especially since these objects are detected differently.

In general, such complexes are installed in the operational rear, under the cover of zonal air defense and, accordingly, are protected at the level of district headquarters - groups of troops in which they are directly subordinate.

Until the 80s, there was the eternal question of who would make the decision to defeat. In the exercises, everyone was smart, conditional targets, real detection, sometimes real defeat of targets. Then the real commanders stood in line for awards. The question is that, in a real situation, Moscow's automatic equipment will determine, identify targets and issue options, then it's up to air defense (missile defense, etc.), but the same S-400 with the same success identified and accompanies. So back to the question of making a decision to defeat for whom, as in the 70-80s?

The decision on electronic suppression is made by a higher KP. Moreover, the suppression rules are set in advance, and in combat conditions the target distribution and the control center for suppression issue their own electronic warfare system. Naturally in accordance with previously defined rules. And brigades and regiments of ZRV work according to their plans. But plans for air defense and electronic warfare are agreed on the boundaries, types and importance of goals. No one pulls a blanket over himself in battle. If the target is in the affected area and is affected by EW and ZRV, then both of them crush it.

I put the article a minus. Not because it was written badly, but for too detailed descriptions and photos. Previously, people were imprisoned for such articles. Have you really learned nothing in more than twenty-five years? Well, write an article, but without the TTD, and the rest. After all, if before, even from the magazine "Young Technician" foreigners fought everything they could, the NSA generally works on all media, books and any information. Really, such simple-minded people have tried? factories to call at least a missile a missile or electronic warfare electronic warfare, I'm not talking about the media, it was generally harsh there, such a "worker, at least in the KGB for a conversation was summoned, flew from work, or even would sit down so that he would not talk his tongue. - a find for a spy, this slogan was not in vain. And in our time, when we are at war (only enemies of the people can not notice this), everyone is chatting and talking, from "our liberoid power" to any journalist. "military experts", as VOs should know about this. Well, if the equipment is declassified, then as you know, who faced this (observance of the secrecy regime, etc.) this equipment will soon write with aspiration for a hundred years at lunchtime There is nothing about her. Dear Gray Brother, algorithms (software), of course, cost money. Agree! "Iron" - ugh, a penny. And I agree that you also need to look after the playful hands of financiers.
But my comment on the price of the issue, so to speak, in general: Despite the fact that the equipment and techniques of electronic warfare, with which your humble servant encountered during the exercises "Sodruzhestvo-80" in Sev.GV, in comparison with today's, represented Krenkel radio amateurism , nevertheless, the "creative" work of the electronic warfare (not according to the scenario of the exercises) thwarted the first disarming strike of the "red" air force (the "blue" was played by the GSVG). Then it caused a shock, because all "invincible and legendary", prepared for an offensive on the "blue" without a single shot (!) became a dream of Vtorchermet, with the infrastructure of the "blue" intact. Unfortunately, our brigade commander was "put in a melon" for the initiative, and the rest of the action was replayed so as not to upset the glorious marshals and the Politburo.
I hope that today is different.

The RTR "Moskva-1" complex is completely outdated, like any other in the ground version, since it listens to the broadcast exclusively within the radio horizon - within a radius of 20-30 km for air targets flying at low or extremely low altitudes.

The modern RTR complex should be installed on board manned or unmanned aerial vehicles with a listening radius of 500-1000 km at all altitudes.

The main problem is precisely in the means of intelligence, and not control. Active facilities have a limited radio horizon and are crushed by interference. There are not so many passive ones and, consequently, not a sufficient detection range at all levels. And the Central Bank and Central Administration are seconds.
