Following statements by Gazprom’s head Alexei Miller, Naftogaz promises a significant reduction in Russian gas transit tariffs from 2020
And today, the first comments on this issue followed from the Ukrainian capital. In particular, Yury Vitrenko, Naftogaz Business Development Director, says that from 2020, the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine will be about three times or four times cheaper than transit via Nord Stream-2. At the same time Vitrenko builds his statement as if he is trying to take care of the financial viability of Gazprom.
Words Vitrenko leads the press service "Naftogaz":
In Naftogaz, they clearly realized that without the Russian transit, the company turns into a “gas ghost”.
But in Europe and in Gazprom, Vitrenko’s promises about the 2020 year and the fourfold reduction in price of transit must have been believed by the most desperate optimists ...
Recall that, according to Alexey Miller, gas transportation via the Nord Stream-2 is approximately 20% cheaper than through the territory of Ukraine.
