The head of the GRU leaves the intelligence service for the "Bulava"

6
The newspaper "Kommersant" published a report that Colonel General Alexander Shlyakhturov resigns from the post of Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff. It is not yet known who will come in the place of the head of the Russian military intelligence in his place. From the newspaper publication it follows that Shlyakhturov will soon take the post of Vladimir Popovkin, the head of Roskosmos. Instead, he will become the head of the board of directors of MIT Corporation, which is developing strategic missile systems, which include the Bulava rocket.

It should be recalled that the 64-year-old Colonel-General Shlyakhturov led the GRU since 14 in April of 2009. Before taking the post of head of the GRU, he worked for several years as deputy head of the main intelligence directorate and was responsible for overseeing strategic intelligence. There is no more detailed information about his career in the GRU, since this information is not disclosed due to the specifics of the GRU.

It is only known that Shlyakhturov is in good standing with Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov. Most likely, this appointment is due to the fact that the Minister needed a proven person at MIT. Previously, a conflict arose between this company and the military department because of the cost of products manufactured.

Dear! It’s time to understand that it’s not worth the slightest trust in newspaper publications like Komersant, Izvestia, etc.

In my opinion, this all goes in the context of the latest appointments to replace the military-strategic leadership associated with the toughening of the military-political course of Russia in relation to Western countries.

In my opinion, the right decision.
It does not leave me suspicious that the latest setbacks in space are the result of sabotage, as a punishment and warning of Russia for its position on Syria.
