Three US Air Force B-52 strategic bombers will take part in the NATO Baltops exercise in the Baltic Sea, reports RIA News message of the American strategic command (STRATCOM).

At the time of maneuvering the bombers will be transferred to the British base Fairford. It clarifies that the B-52 "began to take part in exercises in Europe 3 a year ago."

“Placing strategic bombers (for participation) in multinational operations in different scenarios increases the readiness and capabilities of the US and NATO military forces, which is vital for global security ... Ensuring that we can work from such advanced strategic places as the Fairford base is an integral part our collective defense capabilities and a more timely and coordinated response during crises ”,
given in the message is a statement from STRATCOM commander Cecil Haney.
