As far as I know, passenger airline routes pass over neutral waters. What then do they accompany the civilian side?

Heh heh heh ... where's the civilian side?
Only the Il-76 from the 224 LO can be considered conditionally civil. And then these are "werewolves in uniform" (in a good sense of the word) from the BTA. The rest of our vehicles are Air Force aircraft. This is clearly indicated by the inscription on the keel of the same Tu-134 (by the way, before the last reorganization, it was the board of the commander of the LVO). And the stern firing unit + ASO blocks on the first Il-76.

Another thing is encouraging - finally, the Su-27 stopped flying empty or with a pair of R-73.

PS An-12 is really a veteran - 45,5 years in service.

This side, by the way, has an interesting fate - initially he was the director of interference. But due to obsolescence of equipment at the turn of the century, it was converted back into a transporter. From the old days, he left an epic fairing stern jamming station.

I agree. Accompanying civilian aircraft is a provocation of clean water.

And the military is also not a sign of friendship, unless it is an escort.

I think they believe that from An-12 this can be done ...

Tu-134AK - aircraft - communication center. As a rule, the personal aircraft of the commander of a district or an air army. Visually differs from any civilian Tu-134 with an "awl in the butt" - antenna communication. Well, and some other little things that no specialist will not notice.

True, the third shot from below - what kind of Embraer they accompanied - is definitely not ours. Civil or not?

Mine are what? Another Ukrainians whistleblower drew? For me, ours are Russian, but there are actually no others left. wink . And one more thing: I will determine my nationality, and not someone else - be it even a dumb schoolboy, even a president or a king. This is not the first time for us.

Damn, well, comrades, well, why rejoice - from, in general, with respect to peaceful coexistence and normal cooperation as a whole, they again switched to open confrontation.

It's just that such aerial fortels very often lead to tragic accidents. And there, not far from a real war.

What, forgot how is it - to fight, or what? Few Russia even fought for the last 25 years? Or have everyone forgotten both Chechen wars?!? Or does someone have a military itch in one place? So go to the Donbass, help the brothers, and the itch will pass, and the good will come out!

NATO is not at all the adversary that you want to fight with, and will be many times stronger than Turkey itself (which, although it is even more nominally a NATO member, but even with it we did not dare to get involved in a real war because of the TRAINING down of our plane) .

Well, yes, a military itch in one place. From politicians and generals of the USA and NATO. You dear, for some reason, took that the decision to fight or not to fight depends only on Russia. That if "not provoke" (although what is the provocation here), then everything will be fine. But quoting the Strugatskys, "Those who do not touch, they are most of all cut." You have false pacifism, not from strength, but from weakness.

from, in general, with respect to peaceful coexistence and normal cooperation as a whole, they again switched to open confrontation.

It depends on how you look at this question. Earlier, in Soviet times, we flew constantly, and this was the norm. Encounters or interceptions in neutral waters were routine and none of them made the event. Then the USSR collapsed and we stopped flying. But NATO remained. And suddenly, 25 years later, some Russian planes appeared over neutral waters again. They appeared differently than before, 20 percent of the level of some 85th year. But how do they perceive it today, there in NATO? Ah, the Russians are advancing, behaving aggressively. As if this is their sky. For 25 years we got used to the fact that we don't exist at all. Not only did we not return to the former Soviet level, no, we only designated our existence - here we are, keep in mind. And the hysteria is as if we will take Washington by storm tomorrow. Showcase of pure water. So "peaceful coexistence and generally normal cooperation" in their interpretation is apparently when there are simply no Russians in the sky, and those who are sitting on the ground are clearly following Washington's instructions. And when we show them that we want to communicate on equal terms, this is already an "open confrontation".
