About the exhibition of the helicopter industry HeliRussia-2016

The HeliRussia-2016 exhibition, which began its work on May 19 in the Russian capital, continues. This is the 9-I international exhibition of helicopter technology, which is held in Russia. The venue of the exhibition is the Crocus Expo Center.

The exhibition organizers report that 2016 companies from various countries of the world, including Germany, the USA, France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Belarus, Norway, Switzerland, South Africa and others participate in HeliRussia-219. In total, objects from the helicopter industry from 16 countries, including Russia.

Among the Russian developments are new multi-purpose helicopters Mi-171А2 and Mi-38, as well as a light helicopter "Ansat", which, in addition to medical evacuation, is shown in the VIP version. The new generation of domestic helicopters enters the market and is designed to strengthen the position of the Russian helicopter. For example, the Mi-171А2 helicopter is presented in the color scheme of a potential foreign customer.

AgustaWestland, Airbus Helicopters, Bell Helicopter and Robinson Helicopter are reportedly taking part in the exhibition. They presented models of helicopters R44 and R66, VIP-version AW119KE, etc.

Today (May 20) one more of the exhibition clusters HeliRussia-2016 has begun work. This is a cluster of unmanned helicopters.

In addition to the products of the titans of the helicopter industry, HeliRussia 2016 demonstrates the development of small independent developers from both Russia and other countries - visitors can get acquainted with the AP-55 light helicopter project and see the Micron air scooter. Both devices are made according to the coaxial pattern of rotors and are oriented to the mass market. The German company Volocopter will hold a presentation of a unique electric helicopter-multicopter VC200.

Important documents were signed during the exhibition. Thus, Russian and French companies signed an agreement called “The prospect of creating a center for prototyping and development of additive technologies in the urban district of Zhukovsky”. Representatives of the French company BeAM and the French Association of the Aerospace Industry showed interest in creating such a center.

The exhibition sounded and numbers replenishment helicopter fleet of Russia. According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, last year the number of helicopters operated in the Russian Federation increased by 70 units. The total raid of the helicopter fleet of the country was 360 thousands of hours.
