115 performed since the birth of Marshal of the Soviet Union Konstantin Konstantinovich Rokossovsky

The talent of the commander at the Marshal of the Soviet Union Konstantin Konstantinovich Rokossovsky most clearly manifested during the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945, when he commanded the troops of the Don (from September 1942 to February 1943), Bryansk (from July to September 1942), Central ( from February to October 1943 of the year), Belarusian (from October 1943 of the year to February 1944 of the year), 1 of the Belarusian (from February to November of 1944 of the year) and 2 of the Belarusian (from November of 1944 of the year to June 1945) fronts.

However, the strongest side of the commander's gift is K.K. Rokossovsky was the ability to think creatively and act outside the box (non-routinely), as well as the ability to apply the whole variety of forms and methods of warfare. It is known that the troops under the command of K.K. Rokossovsky participated in the Battle of Smolensk (1941), as well as in the battles of Stalingrad, Moscow and Kursk. In addition, he carried out operations: Belarusian, East Pomeranian, East Prussian and Berlin.

Near Moscow, on the Volokolamsk direction tank he contrasted the enemy’s strikes with anti-tank deep defense, maneuver and high activity. And to develop success during the counterattack, he created two mobile groups in the army. In addition, he wisely combined circumvention and coverage with a frontal strike. During the conduct and preparation of operations, the marshal decisively massed forces and assets in the direction of the main attack, while boldly maneuvering the available reserves, not forgetting to take into account the strengths and weaknesses of the enemy. K.K. Rokossovsky always carefully planned military operations.

Under the command of K.K. Rokossovsky troops of the Don Front in the Battle of Stalingrad, during the counteroffensive, conducting a joint attack with the troops of the Stalingrad and Southwestern Fronts, broke through the enemy defenses and surrounded a group of 330 thousand people between the Volga and Don rivers. And at the very beginning of 1943, they managed to be crushed, and then captured.

It is worth noting that in the Battle of Kursk commander KK Rokossovsky demonstrated outstanding martial art during the conduct and organization of artillery counterpreparation, then in repulsing the attacks of the German fascist troops and following with the complete defeat of the Oryol enemy group during the counteroffensive.

Unusual commanding talent of the Marshal of the Soviet Union was manifested in the Pripyat-Chernihiv operation (1943), while maneuvering with the forces and means of the Central Front in the direction of Sevskoye - Glukhovskoye. Also in the Belarusian operation, when two powerful blows by the troops of the 1 of the Belarusian Front were made in converging directions. It is worth noting the operations of 1945 of the year, in which the cutting off and defeat of sufficiently large operational-strategic enemy groups by the troops of the second Belarusian front took place.
Incidentally, in the postwar period, K.K. Rokossovsky made a very significant contribution to the improvement of the entire combat readiness of the troops, to the development of the structure of the organization of the Armed Forces and combat training in general.

K.K. Rokossovsky is twice a hero of the Soviet Union, was awarded the highest military order of the Soviet "Victory". He has the 7 Orders of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, the 6 Orders of the Red Banner, the Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov of the 1 degree.
K.K. Rokossovsky in his book "Soldier's duty" wrote:
“... For the soldier there is the greatest happiness - the realization that he helps his people destroy the enemy, protect the freedom of his country and return peace to its territory. This is the realization that he has completely fulfilled the duty laid on his shoulders - soldier's duty, which is very heavy and noble, and there is nothing above it on the ground! ”

Incidentally, in 1965, 1966 and in 1968, "Military-historical magazine "published articles of the Soviet marshal K.K. Rokossovsky, which, if desired, can be read on the Internet.

Interestingly, but the Order of the Red Banner of Labor Rokossovsky for what he received? Probably tests of military equipment. In the portrait he’s not very similar to himself from the newsreel - there he is somehow more soulful, livelier. Although, there is a ceremonial portrait.

And where did you get the idea that he had such an order? He had six orders of the Red Banner, and even Vicki is silent about the Labor one ...

And this is not about him. Stalin answered a staffer who raised the question that the army commander was living with a young nurse?

Comrade Stalin, what are we going to do ?!
    We will envy, comrades.

They inform comrade Stalin that comrade Rokossovsky was morally decomposed: he drinks expensive rare wines and cognac from among the trophies, drives cupids with several beauties at once ... - so what to do with him? Comrade Stalin is interested in: what about Comrade Rokossovsky’s military work? Answer: very good - moving forward, few losses, many prisoners and trophies. Comrade Stalin asks: what about working with people? They answer: excellent - everyone respects, they say - a great person, fair, honest. Silence. Again they ask: so what to do with Comrade Rokossovsky? Comrade Stalin: envy.
It was Rokossovsky who provided the very "march of prisoners" across Moscow. The traitor Suvorov told about how the plan of the Belarusian operation was discussed in the book "Purification". I know that many people do not like this parasite. But he writes about Rokossovsky with indescribable respect. And my grandfather considered Rokossovsky the most beloved commander among the soldiers (not Zhukov).

The war was won exclusively by Comrade Stalin and Comrade Zhukov + with little support from the masses and Comrade Beria. Is funny And the awards come out ...

The awards also depend on the authorities, the art to achieve them. But Rokossovsky did not go into politics and did not engage in power intrigues, unlike Zhukov. And Stalin, by the way, had many awards and did not have ...

A little story related to Marshal Rokossovsky.

My godmother in the war and even after it served in the army under the command of the marshal. He always admired and appreciated him, noted his courage, stiffness, ingenuity. He said that he appreciated these qualities in others.
Once after the war in the summer camps, being a sergeant, the godfather was on duty on a company. Rota was at the shooting range. Afternoon, heat. He is already an old servant, a front-line soldier. Naturally relaxed and lay down on one of the beds in the tent and dozed off.
And here Rokossovsky came to the troops with a check of combat readiness (the godfather said he liked to do this very often, did not hesitate to personally check it). Naturally, he went through everything and knew everything. I went into the location of the company on duty there and immediately figured it out.
The godfather said: "As soon as the marshal went into the bed. I felt some kind of emotion - a rise. I jump in. I recognize Rokossovsky (as I often saw him) and begin to report, but somehow I did it clearly, even though my face was a little crumpled with dullness. he is on me - you sleep. I - no matter how not check whether the soft beds and whether it is comfortable for the personnel of my unit to sleep. Rokossovsky grunted and said: "Well done sergeant for resourcefulness and for violation I will not punish you. ""
So fate brought my godfather to the marshal personally.
The godfather often recalled this incident and always spoke of Rokossovsky with respect.
