115 performed since the birth of Marshal of the Soviet Union Konstantin Konstantinovich Rokossovsky
The talent of the commander at the Marshal of the Soviet Union Konstantin Konstantinovich Rokossovsky most clearly manifested during the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945, when he commanded the troops of the Don (from September 1942 to February 1943), Bryansk (from July to September 1942), Central ( from February to October 1943 of the year), Belarusian (from October 1943 of the year to February 1944 of the year), 1 of the Belarusian (from February to November of 1944 of the year) and 2 of the Belarusian (from November of 1944 of the year to June 1945) fronts.
However, the strongest side of the commander's gift is K.K. Rokossovsky was the ability to think creatively and act outside the box (non-routinely), as well as the ability to apply the whole variety of forms and methods of warfare. It is known that the troops under the command of K.K. Rokossovsky participated in the Battle of Smolensk (1941), as well as in the battles of Stalingrad, Moscow and Kursk. In addition, he carried out operations: Belarusian, East Pomeranian, East Prussian and Berlin.
Near Moscow, on the Volokolamsk direction tank he contrasted the enemy’s strikes with anti-tank deep defense, maneuver and high activity. And to develop success during the counterattack, he created two mobile groups in the army. In addition, he wisely combined circumvention and coverage with a frontal strike. During the conduct and preparation of operations, the marshal decisively massed forces and assets in the direction of the main attack, while boldly maneuvering the available reserves, not forgetting to take into account the strengths and weaknesses of the enemy. K.K. Rokossovsky always carefully planned military operations.
Under the command of K.K. Rokossovsky troops of the Don Front in the Battle of Stalingrad, during the counteroffensive, conducting a joint attack with the troops of the Stalingrad and Southwestern Fronts, broke through the enemy defenses and surrounded a group of 330 thousand people between the Volga and Don rivers. And at the very beginning of 1943, they managed to be crushed, and then captured.
It is worth noting that in the Battle of Kursk commander KK Rokossovsky demonstrated outstanding martial art during the conduct and organization of artillery counterpreparation, then in repulsing the attacks of the German fascist troops and following with the complete defeat of the Oryol enemy group during the counteroffensive.
Unusual commanding talent of the Marshal of the Soviet Union was manifested in the Pripyat-Chernihiv operation (1943), while maneuvering with the forces and means of the Central Front in the direction of Sevskoye - Glukhovskoye. Also in the Belarusian operation, when two powerful blows by the troops of the 1 of the Belarusian Front were made in converging directions. It is worth noting the operations of 1945 of the year, in which the cutting off and defeat of sufficiently large operational-strategic enemy groups by the troops of the second Belarusian front took place.
Incidentally, in the postwar period, K.K. Rokossovsky made a very significant contribution to the improvement of the entire combat readiness of the troops, to the development of the structure of the organization of the Armed Forces and combat training in general.
K.K. Rokossovsky is twice a hero of the Soviet Union, was awarded the highest military order of the Soviet "Victory". He has the 7 Orders of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, the 6 Orders of the Red Banner, the Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov of the 1 degree.
K.K. Rokossovsky in his book "Soldier's duty" wrote:
“... For the soldier there is the greatest happiness - the realization that he helps his people destroy the enemy, protect the freedom of his country and return peace to its territory. This is the realization that he has completely fulfilled the duty laid on his shoulders - soldier's duty, which is very heavy and noble, and there is nothing above it on the ground! ”
Incidentally, in 1965, 1966 and in 1968, "Military-historical magazine "published articles of the Soviet marshal K.K. Rokossovsky, which, if desired, can be read on the Internet.
