      Judging by the functions described in the article, it is not just "necessary", but necessary in the organization of air defense.

    one more confirmation that the new is well forgotten old. this machine was developed by her in the mid-80s at the Scientific Research Institute of SA in Minsk within the framework of the ACS by the troops of the front "Maneuver". Naturally, something was modified in this car, but in general everything is the same.

      And, in my opinion, this is the reincarnation of 9C80, i.e. Gadgets / Assemblies. By the way, about the Maneuver. NNZ, Maneuver is an ASUV of the divisional level
      Front level - "Redoubt" automated control system;
      Army level - ACCS "Centaur"
      But, generally speaking, I would like to know more about the Maneuver and, first of all, its air defense subsystem. As long as the information just does not fit together

        You are mistaken. ACS Maneuver was created as an automated control system for front-line troops of all branches and all levels from an ordinary soldier and squad to the front command post. It included both subsystems for controlling military air defense, and subsystems for controlling front-line aviation, and subsystems for controlling artillery and missile units of dry troops, etc. The development of this system began at the beginning of 70x, was carried out in stages and continued until the collapse of the Union. The objects of the system were produced in various cities of the USSR, including Penza. The first began to develop the Maneuver system in the Northern Fleet but this did not last long. The GSVG ceased to exist for well-known reasons. For more details, see here http://www.agat.by/pres/Manevr%20-%20pervaja%20sovetskaja%20ASUV%20polya%20boya.

        Yes, I forgot to add that NIISA was the head enterprise of the Union for the development of highly mobile ACCS for various purposes and dozens of other enterprises worked under its "roof" throughout the Union and in the CMEA countries, and the number of NPO Agat, created on the basis of NIISA, reached about 20 during the period of NPO's flourishing thousand people.

    I mean, I am mistaken that the Maneuver was related not only to the ACS of the division? Well, maybe. At least I am not mistaken alone.
    Do you mind if we go to the PM? I think that here the topic of the Maneuver is of little interest to anyone
