A video appeared on the Web, demonstrating the launch of the Iskander-M operational tactical missile complex. It is reported that the launch took place on April 15 as part of the final stage of the camp gathering with the missile brigade of the Central Military District at the Astrakhan Kapustin Yar proving ground.
The press service of the main defense department of the country says that the rocket successfully hit the target. The role of the goal was performed by a submerged enemy command post, located at a distance of approximately 200 km from the position of the Iskander-M OTRK.

In place of the deepened command post of the conditional enemy, located at a distance of about 200 km from the starting position, only a smoking funnel remained.
The characteristics of the Iskander-M OTRK are such that it is capable of destroying targets at a distance from 50 to 500 km. At the same time, the flight speed of the missile fired by the Iskander-M is about 2,1 thousand m / s.
The complex is capable of destroying command posts and communication centers, important enemy infrastructure facilities. OTRK "Iskander-M" can be used to strike at fire means, aviationlocated at airfields, as well as air defense and missile defense.
