Lavrov on the development of the Russian military presence in the Arctic

46
Solving the safety of the Northern Sea Route is impossible without the restoration and strengthening of the infrastructure, including the military, which was lost by Russia in the 1990s, reports RIA News statement by Sergey Lavrov.

“When such interest in this international route (Northern Sea Route) grows along the borders of the Russian Federation, we, as a coastal state, bear special responsibility for ensuring not only the efficiency, but also the safety of this route. It is necessary to make sure that reliable, effective control is ensured not only over the sea spaces, but also over the coast along these sea spaces, ”Lavrov said in an interview with foreign journalists from Mongolia, Japan and the PRC.

“We need a capacity to respond to any emergency situations, which, unfortunately, occur, no matter how we all are reinsured. This applies to search and rescue, the need to be prepared for terrorist threats - nowhere can you hide from these bandits, as well as the need to control possible smuggling, drug trafficking and other aspects related to organized crime. All these tasks cannot be solved without the restoration of that infrastructure, including the military, which was almost completely lost in 90-s ”,
He stressed.

Apparently, in the coming decades, the Arctic will turn into one of the key regions of the world around which a serious struggle will unfold. The Arctic in the near future will become a field of intense rivalry between Russia and the Western countries - let's not forget that most of our competitors in the Arctic are members of NATO. Hydrocarbon resources and transport arteries that facilitate the processes of their extraction and delivery are too tidbits that Russia has to protect from an ever-growing number of people who want to.

It’s not necessary to think only about Western countries. Asia-Pacific countries, the Republic of Korea, China and Japan, in which an icebreaking fleet is already under construction, are also striving for the Arctic.

The icebreaker fleet needs infrastructure, and only we have it, so all the rest are guests in the Arctic, and the owner is Russia.

The best control was under Stalin. They unilaterally drew the border along the meridian, from the Kola Peninsula to the North Pole, and, accordingly, from the Chukotka Peninsula, right along the line of changing dates to the Pole, and declared our territory. NOBODY IN THE WORLD DIDE EVEN DICK ON THIS ABOUT.

It was necessary to begin with this. Namely, to restore Dixon, Tiksi, Khatangu forgotten by the god ... The whole chain of subpolar towns. After all, people lived there, entire generations and not just lived, worked, mined something. They served the Northern Sea Route. Now Alkasha was already embarrassed to blame everything, there was plenty of time for that, and time and money.

But it was through him that the mass of goods went, say to Magadan, etc. And the only military people there are a few border guards. Lavrov is right. The military infrastructure at the NSR needs to be increased significantly. On the other hand, I would not want to serve in Tiksi ... it’s already cold there too.

Yes, our SF cannot cope there. In winter, pack ice, shallow depths, etc. We need coastal military infrastructure, the deployment of duty ships in the summer, for example, in Pevek, the Novosibirsk Islands, to cover the NSR from all sides, etc.

The work will be great. A huge amount of resources will go there. But, in addition to points (ports) where civilian ships can go, available response forces to ice conditions (icebreakers, rescuers, etc.), we also need diverse military forces: anti-ship artillery / missile systems, air defense / missile defense, anti-boat posts (to ward off NATO Submarines as far as possible to the pole, well, and special forces units / Arctic brigades in case of detention of violators / suppression of local invasions.

On the Internet, I found two interesting documents, one on the Lockheed Corporation website. Naturally, it says in English that S.S.A. ordered equipment and ships to chop off the entire northern policy from Russia. And in another document, a certain American admiral prepared a survey for the American government about the northern polis and a plan on how to arrange warming on the northern polis to melt the ice to drown part of Russia, tell everyone that Russia is to blame and take all the northern polis and pump out all the resources for themselves he proposes to fortify the North American fleet with several hundred new ships specially prepared to displace Russia from the Arctic. And the fact that you have to sacrifice your allies to the mad admiral does not care about the main thing that all the resources in the world belong only to America. This is not Tom Clancy, but he is an employee of Ts.R.U. He wrote scripts for the government of America on the capture of planet earth, the destruction of Russia and China and the capture of our resources. A very specific character of American politics and V.P.K. America, to which the Pentagon and the State Department S.Sh.A are listening. Be careful, comrades, the enemy is on the alert; the documents are not a secret, but who will soon carry out this operation needs to be found out and stopped, it is also necessary to find out how it will be carried out on what This event is scheduled to date and America will implement this plan someday.
