Rosturizm: the first defense industry tourist route opens in the Urals
Rosturizm opened the first tourist route in Russia with a visit to the UVZ workshops, a museum of armored vehicles, as well as a tank proving ground, reports RIA News. The route was named “Voentour”.
“The route opened at Uralvagonzavod with the support of the Federal Agency for Tourism allows Russian and foreign tourists to get acquainted with the past and present of the Russian defense industry. As part of the route presentation, participants will be able to assess the capabilities of Russian tanks T-90 during test trips, ”the report says Rostourism.
“Voentur provides visits to the production departments of the UVZ, as well as a tour of the armored vehicles museum, where samples of locally produced combat vehicles are presented - from T-34 to T-90 - and more 1000 from other exhibits: samples of tank armor, shells, units and assemblies , fire observation and control devices, rare books and paintings, ”the press service said.
In addition, tourists will be invited to visit the UVZ tank test range, where they will demonstrate the capabilities of the T-90.
The route will be open this summer.
