Whoever becomes the next president, the United States will not change its attitude towards Ukraine, reports RIA News Statement by the American Ambassador in Kiev, Jeffrey Payette.
“After the elections are completed and a new president is elected, you will not see any dramatic changes regarding our approach. The key thing is that Ukraine demonstrates its progress. And to the extent that it demonstrates progress, reforms, modernization of institutions, the fight against corruption, I am sure that the next president, whoever he or she is, will continue to see strategic interest ",
said the diplomat in Kiev.
He noted that "these strategic interests relate to the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, its territorial integrity."
“Europe cannot be united and secure until Ukraine is also free and secure,” the American ambassador emphasized.
