In Primorye, completed tactical exercises with the flight crews of the army aviation Eastern military district, based in the Khabarovsk and Primorsky territories. According to the training plan, the Ka-52 and Mi-8 AMTS pilots of the Chernigov air base flew to one of the alternate aerodromes in the south of Primorye, and their colleagues from the Khabarovsk air connection relocated to the Chernihiv airfield.
At the alternate aerodromes full maintenance of helicopters was organized by ground services of both air bases.
The helicopter pilots performed several flight shifts, during which they worked out missile strikes at ground targets at unfamiliar polygons, suppressing radar equipment of a conditional enemy by maneuvering using the terrain landscape.
The crews of the helicopters provided the landing of the units of the Maritime Airborne Brigade. It was carried out in the designated area in an assault manner from Mi-8AMTSH helicopters.
After this, the assault landing company made a multi-kilometer march to the rear of the conditional enemy and captured the bridgehead until the main forces approached. All this time, paratroopers from the air supported fire Ka-52 attack helicopters.
The exercise involved about 40 units of aircraft, flights were carried out in the daytime and at night.
