From the message of the State Border Service of Ukraine:
For several days in the field, an armored car was tested, which is designed to cover the threatened areas, conduct surveillance and transmit information to the control centers of the border units.
The submission says that such vehicles will come into service with the State Border Service in the near future and will be directed primarily to the eastern direction within the framework of the program on “arranging the border with the Russian Federation”.
Ukrainian manufacturers say that the car was designed specifically for use by border guards. It has a second level of protection STANAG 4569 and is able to withstand a blast on an anti-tank mine. In this case, the manufacturer claims that the crew as a result of such an explosion "will not suffer." Attention is drawn to the fact that in the official video of the State Border Service there are no personnel telling what actually happens to the Triton, when an anti-tank mine explodes beneath it.
The Triton is equipped with a radar station and a thermal imaging system to monitor the border strip. The armored vehicle can carry an additional up to 4 people, and they will be able to perform border security tasks “offline” during the week. For this armored car is equipped with a diesel generator, air conditioning and heating. For receiving and transmitting data, a satellite system is used. Whose satellites this system uses for data exchange is not reported.
