Information Agency Associated Press reports a major terrorist attack in Nigeria. The blast that thundered in a mosque on the outskirts of the city of Maiduguri (northeast of the country) killed at least 22 people. Approximately the same number were injured. 10 people are seriously injured, there is a danger to their lives.
The article reports that two women - suicide bombers committed a self-explosion in the mosque’s premises. They were in the mosque, without causing suspicion from the guards. At the moment, none of the groups operating in Africa has taken responsibility for the attack. However, according to Nigerian police, it is highly likely that the terrorists belonged to the Boko Haram group, which continues to operate not only in Nigeria, but also in a number of neighboring states, including Chad, Cameroon, Niger, Mali, etc.
According to the Nigerian press, the militants did not confine themselves to explosions in the mosque. They carried out attacks on the administrative buildings of the suburb of Maiduguri. As a result of an exchange of fire with the arrived police officers, six militants were killed and four wounded. A few minutes after the end of the battle, police discovered an explosive device left by the militants on the road. Apparently, the terrorists were counting on the fact that they would undermine it at the very moment when police cars would arrive at the scene.
Today, the attack occurred in Pakistan's Peshawar. As a result of a bomb blast at a bus stop, 15 was killed and 30 people were injured.
It is reported that at the time of the explosion there were representatives of the bureaucratic corps in the bus.
