The shift in the balance of power on the western borders of the CSTO against the background of a comprehensive renewal of the tank fleet of Poland

20

In December 2015, Poland received another 119 units of main combat tanks “Leopard-2”, of which 115 - “Leopard-2A5” (pictured) and 4 “Leopard-2A4”. Thus, the total number of “Leopard-2” alone reaches 247 units, taking into account 128 “A2002” purchased in 4, which will be updated to version “A6”

As befits a European theater, which is crowded with state-of-the-art weapons, its “docile” Eastern European territories continue to be skillfully exploited by the Pentagon and the NATO command as the main springboard for the likely confrontation with the Russian Federation. Let's not forget that in view of the unstable military-political situation, the huge number of participants with their interests, the different balance of forces between the parties on one or another section of the conditional front line, as well as the complex geographical interposition of the territories controlled by the parties, it is the Eastern European part of the theater of operations is the most complex region of operational-strategic conflict of interests between Russia and NATO, and, despite the negligibly small geographic expanses of Eastern Europe, This complexity is several times greater than the picture observed in the APR, as well as the anti-Russian engagement of such states as Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova and Ukraine.

And it is precisely these dysfunctional states-henchmen of the West, most of which are part of NATO, create on our borders a background of tension, sometimes bordering on the pre-escalation situation. In addition, various modern small arms and anti-tank weapons, as well as electronic reconnaissance equipment (including artillery reconnaissance radar) from Western Europe and the USA, are being transferred to the Armed Forces of the Baltic countries and Romania, and then used against the civilian population of the Armed Forces of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. The presence of Polish and Danish instructors and mercenaries on the outskirts of Donetsk (Marinka), and American officers at the headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the temporarily occupied Kramatorsk and directly in Kiev, confirmed the participation of the Allied Command in the Kiev conflict with the independent republics of Donbass. This once again confirms the clear and consistent aggressive policy of the alliance at the immediate borders of our country, even when on some tactically important issues, such as the support of the national self-defense detachments of the Syrian Kurds (YPG), the position of Russia and the US overlap. And the "clearance" in the coming months or even years, apparently, is not expected.

First, the week before last B. Obama extended the main anti-Russian sanctions decree 13660, according to which a number of restrictions for Russian citizens and companies would be extended for a year (until March 2017). Secondly, it all happens on the background of complete non-compliance with the Kiev junta of the Minsk agreements, of which in fact there is only one annoying phrase. In fact, Russia is now trying to “press in” both the United States and the European Union, regardless of who violates the “truce” in the Donbas. The tendency of deterioration of the military-political situation can very soon come to a critical level if H. Clinton wins the presidential election in the United States, since it is already clear that until the end of the Obama presidency the situation will not change radically, and Clinton herself is another Russophobian representative of the hawks ". And she is certainly ready for anything that in one way or another will create serious geostrategic problems for the Russian Federation in Eastern Europe. On the situation in Novorossia - more.

OSCE AND KIEV IN "ONE STRETCH": WITH WASHINGTON SUBJECT, WITH EUROPEAN ACCEPTANCE, A NEW ESCALATION DEVELOPS

As you know, the most reliable indicator of Western policy towards the Russian Federation is the actions of the slave Kiev regime.

While all Russian media attention was focused on the excellent results of the VKS in the Syrian military company, as well as the destabilizing excesses of the Turkish army in the northern parts of the SAR, the situation in the Donbass worsened not by day but by hour. Over the last week of February and the beginning of March, the intensity of the work of the large-caliber artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on civilian and military facilities in the LDNR has increased tenfold. The worst way is in the Donetsk People's Republic, because it is the DPR that has the longest line of demarcation with Ukraine, represented by the Northern, Western and Southern fronts, in the LPR, in fact, there is only the Northern Front, while the rest of the front faces are covered with deep rears of the adjacent DPR. More than a week in the media there are combat reports from the Donbass.

At the beginning of last week, in Donetsk, due to regular artillery strikes on the Petrovsky district of the city, 2 civilians were killed, 5 power stations and many residential buildings were damaged. In fact, due to the actual “Minsk freezing” of the offensive operation of the army of Novorossia, which began in September 2014, military units of the DPR army could not occupy the strategically important cities of Mariupol, Krasnoarmeysk, Artyomovsk, Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, the stanitsa Luganskaya, etc. and move the firing lines of the artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on 40 — 60 km from the vital Donetsk-Makeevka and Gorlovsko-Enakievskaya agglomerations, which is why the range of the Ukrainian “Pions”, “Hyacinths”, “Msta-S” now reaches Telmanovo, Khartsizsk, Enakievo. Therefore, we observe daily destruction in the villages and towns of the DPR, which are even at a relative distance from the line of contact. Created in Avdeevka and Kurakhovo, Volnovakha, Lebedinsky, fortified areas of the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not give a quiet life to residents of the border and sometimes central districts of Donetsk, Gorlovka, Dokuchaevsk, Sakhanka. Last week, the Grad launched into the process of the Supreme Soviet of Ukraine: the NURSs were released on the territory of the Donetsk airport, and absolutely no reaction from the OSCE. It became loud and on the outskirts of Mariupol, where the junta is firing Kominternovo, Zaichenko, etc.

Having turned the Yasinovatskiy junction into the hottest spot on the Donbass theater, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to focus all the attention of the Ministry of Defense of the DPR on it, and then make a breakthrough at the Telmanov ON. At the same time, the OSCE completely stopped visits and observations in hot spots, the reason was not even an attempt on the Russian major general Muratov, who visited the heroic Yasinovatsky traffic police post the previous week, which once again confirms the political commitment of the OSCE. We observed the same behavior of the mission during military operations in Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

According to the situation, it is clear that the new escalation is no longer that far. There is an “unhealthy” movement at the borders of the Crimea from the Kherson region. Within a few months of militarization by various Ukrainian and Turkish paramilitaries, together with the people of Chubarov, the previously thriving agricultural breadbasket turned into a plundered territory with intimidated and distressed people. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine transferred there everything that was possible: dozens of MLRS Grad, Hurricane, Tungussk, Shilka, Strely, OBT, Acacia and other equipment, which is inadequate to the Kiev regime may be applied in the foreseeable future. How it will end for Ukraine, we will not describe.

But the Ukrainian episode of the Washington-driven military tension in Eastern Europe is not the most dangerous. Much more attention is attracted by the reinforcement of another slave state - Poland.

In operational and tactical terms, Poland has for several years been a significant threat in the western strategic direction of Russia and the CSTO. The Kaliningrad Oblast is the first to appear at tank-dangerous and rocket-dangerous directions. The first alarming event was the decision to deploy in the country launchers of the American long-range anti-missile system "Aegis Ashore", which creates certain difficulties for the operation of our strategic missile forces in the western HV (this spring, the British company Amec Foster Wheeler Redzikovo); then followed a contract with Riteon for the acquisition of the low-profile AGM-40A JASSM tactical long-range tactical cruise missiles capable of reaching the eastern frontiers of Belarus and the Leningrad Region for the Polish 158 air force. Now the modernization will affect the Polish Army, which automatically translates all our attention to the defensive capabilities of the Belarussian army as a member of the CSTO and a member of the SRBR, who, impressing with their numbers, have certain technical problems; their resolution, judging by the mood in the leadership of the Republic of Belarus, depends on the ratio of "carrots and gingerbread" on the part of the EU. And, as it turned out, it is not so difficult to reduce their vigilance by lifting sanctions and unfreezing assets even during extremely tense and dangerous interblock “games”.

For example, in February 2016, A. Lukashenko and 169 senior officials of the Belarusian leadership of the EU Council lifted sanctions to enter the EU and unfrozen bank accounts in Europe. A similar step was explained by the release of 6 political prisoners in the Republic of Belarus in August 2015. Restrictions were lifted from several large companies, including Spetspriborservis and Beltekh Holding. Belarus took this step very positively, began to “sing odes” to cunning Europeans, not paying attention to the fact that weaponsthe embargo remained in force, and the Polish army poses the same strategic threats for the Republic of Belarus as it does for the western regions of the Russian Federation. The EU is also trying to put pressure on the Republic of Belarus, and eventually drag the “soft-bodied” leadership of the country to Brussels on strategically important issues in Eastern Europe. Poland is directly involved in this process, which became known after the statement of the representative of the Polish Foreign Ministry Vitold Washchikovsky. But, realizing Belarus’s membership in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Europe understands that it is unlikely that they can completely win over the country as a “docile donkey” in a likely escalation environment, and therefore we see NATO strengthening along the western borders, especially in Poland.

The Armed Forces of Belarus have a huge contrast in the level of perfection of various types of troops. Thus, the Air Force and Air Defense of the Republic of Belarus have an impressive arsenal of the best short, medium and long range air defense missile systems, among which there are Tor-M2E, Stilet, C-125-2T Pechora-2T (Belarusian improved version of Pechora with extended to 3250 km / h speed of the target being hit), Buk-M1, C-300PS and C-400. In the ground forces, the situation is completely different. And the main problems lie in the obsolete tank fleet of the Republic of Belarus. In service is about 1450 serviceable OBT T-72B, up to 70 OBT T-80B, and also 199 OBT T-55 / 62, which are in conservation. T-72B and T-80B in the total number of 1520 vehicles, although they represent a serious armored “fist” of the CSTO for NATO’s military in the Baltic States and Eastern Europe, its durability and stability in the application of modern anti-tank weapons leaves much to be desired, since the numerical superiority of obsolete machines in the present conditions, a network-centric war solves almost nothing.

The Belarusian modernization of the T-72B "Vityaz", having received more or less advanced optoelectronic and thermal imaging systems "Sosna-U" and PNK-4S-01, remained with the same level of armor protection, mobility, firepower and accuracy of the gun. IN news network reports and in the media, we continue to see Belarusian T-72Bs with all the same elements of dynamic protection "Contact-1" and "Contact-5", which, given the low constructive equivalent armor resistance of the T-72B, is absolutely unacceptable when the strongest eastern tank outpost of NATO - Poland.

Belarusian T-72B "Vityaz"

T-72B without DZ has equivalent durability from armor-piercing feathered sub-caliber shells (BOPS): 540 mm (front of the tower), 485 mm (front of the hull - WLD when tilted 68 degrees), 240 mm (on-board armor sheets of the hull). Elements mounted DZ 4С20 complex "Contact-1", which is equipped with the majority of Belarusian OBT, do not provide an increase in armor protection from armor-piercing sabots projectiles, which is why T-72B tanks are not protected even from obsolete 120-mm US OBPS М829 and analogues of the Soviet ZBM 32 "Vant." Contact-1 cumulative protection projectile gains are approximately 60%, which makes T-72B less vulnerable for RPGs, LNG, and some 2 generation ATGMs, but only when fired at safe maneuvering corners (+/- 30 degrees from the direction of the machine), security from the COP can reach 900 mm. But this is absolutely not enough to protect the T-72 from penetration by modern ATGMs (Spike, Javelin, TOW-2A / B, Milan ER, etc.)

The situation is much better with the built-in section remote sensing of the universal type “Contact-5”. Its elements 4С22 ensure the destruction of an attacking projectile or a cumulative jet not only by throwing plates (the principle is implemented in “Contact-1”), but also by a cover. Elements 4С22, assembled in wedge-shaped sections on the frontal armor plates of the tower at large opposite angles to the attacking cores and the cumulative jet of ATGM and PG, are capable of ensuring crew safety at a new qualitative level, partially reducing even the penetrating capacity of tandem CS. In addition, the ability of 1,2-1,4-fold increase in equivalent resistance from BOPS, the level of security from the COP increases 1,8-1,9 times. MBT T-72B with VDZ "Kontakt-5" receives protection from BOPS / KS: 680 - 740 mm / 1050 mm (tower), 670 mm / 950 mm (WLD), which can already cover the tank from the American armor-piercing shells М829X1 / M2 / NNXX / IXNXX / 43 / 53 / 71 / 2 / 829 , German DM-3 / 1100, as well as ATGM BGM-350F TOW-400B. But the tank remains vulnerable to more modern BOPS МXNUMXАXNUMX and anti-tank cumulative projectiles with a penetrability of more than XNUMX mm. The cannon mask area remains practically unprotected, here a little more than XNUMX-XNUMX mm equivalent.

Similar deficiencies are observed in the Russian MBT T-72B3, considered in the SV as the benchmark for the modernization of all T-72; but without the use of the modular remote sensing "Relikt", the 72 will continue to give way to Western tanks in security. The real standard, in my opinion, is the T-72B “Slingshot”, which is not in the series. Belarusian machines did not receive improved mobility, since the power plant remained the same - diesel engine B-84-1, which provides specific power only 18,5 hp / t.

There are in the Belarusian army and 26 gas turbine MBT T-80BV; As you remember, 66 tanks were transferred to Yemen in 2010 year. These tanks have a significantly improved driving dynamics thanks to the 1100-strong forced gas turbine engine GTD-1000ТФ (“38 product”), which provides the specific power of the 25 hp / t and speed to 80 km / h. But with native equivalent armor resistance and Contact-1, the situation is even worse than that of T-72B. The armor resistance of the frontal projection of the hull and the tower from the BPS is 430 and 510 mm, respectively, from the CS with “Contact-1” - around 900 mm. In this case, ways to improve the protection of the machine are similar to an experienced tank "Slingshot."

The “219M facility” is one of the most efficient and easy-to-implement MBT T-80BV modernization projects. A decent reservation level of the “219M object” is achieved by installing the “Relict” DZ. Its feature is the maximum possible overlap of the most important elements of the reservation of MBT. In the zero course angle, the MBT 4C23 OBT is closed over 60% of the frontal projection of the entire tank. Due to the inclusion of a larger number of throwing plates and non-metallic striking fragments into the “equipment” of the EHD, the time and density of contact with the attacking projectile increased. This allowed us to get 60% increase in protection against BOPS and 100% increase in durability from CS. With reference to T-80BV, it is possible to calculate the following figures: 810 / 680 mm from BOPS (tower / WLD enclosure), 900 / 1050 mm from CS, which goes to the level of T-80U or T-90А with a DZ "Contact-5", and “Leopard” and “Leopard-2A5” are not so hard to “jump around”. But in Belarus, which is always “flirting” with the EU and awaiting economic rewards from Brussels, the issue of updating an outdated tank fleet is considered careless, which cannot be said about NATO's neighbors.

So, 22 February, 2016, the American news agency UPI announced the conclusion of the 245-millionth contract of Polish ZM Bumar-ęabędy SA and Grupa Zbrojeniowa Polish companies with the German company Rheinmetall for the profound modernization of 128 Polish Leopard-2XXXXXXXXXXXXXX and XXX and XXXXX and XXXXXXXXXXXXX-9XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. A4. This event is quite tangible for the East European theater, as in Belarus they don’t even think about updating. If “Leopard-5А6” old T-2BB and T-4B were somehow able to resist, then with “А80 and А72” it will be very difficult, even taking into account 5-multiple numerical superiority (because of the Poles in the “extras” only "Leopards").

MBT "Leopard-2A4" have resistance from BOPS / KS 580 / 1100 mm (frontal projection of the tower), this allows you to hit them with armor-piercing sabot-type projectiles of ZBM-42М type (included in the nomenclature of weapons of Belarusian OBT), as well as “Cornets”, as well as “Cornets”, and also “Cornets”, Chrysantemums "in the forehead, and" Metis "- starting with the corners of safe maneuvering 30 and more degrees. “Leopard-2А5 / А6” today can be struck only by the newest BOPS “Lead” / “Lead-2” at a distance of about 1,5 km. But at a given distance in a tank battle, these versions of the Leopard still need to be able to get closer. Modernized Polish "Leopards" will be equipped with X-NUMX-mm tank guns Rh-120 L120 and L44, the accuracy of which is much higher than that of old 55-2-46 guns installed on Belarusian MBT; the probability of hitting the first shot of the German guns is approaching 1 at ranges up to 1,0 - 2 km.

Even taking into account the ability of Belarusian tanks to use KUVT Cobra and Reflex at a distance of 4-5 km, the guaranteed destruction of the Leopard may not occur, since the armor penetration rate of the cumulative warhead XURNXXX9 and 128X9M reaches only 119-650MNG900M The frontal projection of the “Leopard-2А5 / 6” is covered with special wedge-shaped containers with special reservations, which provide protection against cumulative means with penetrability 1200 - 1300 mm. The newest German BOPS DM-53 punch up to 700-750 mm steel dimensions, which exceeds the protection of Belarusian T-72B and T-80BV.

The powerful 1500-powerful diesel MB 873 Ka-501 brings any of the Leopard versions to the top in terms of travel dynamics, overclocking, and thrashing capabilities, they are inferior only to the gas turbine versions T-80B (U)

The fire control systems of Belarusian tanks are updated and reach the level of Polish cars. For example, the Vityaz T-72B is equipped with a single multichannel TV-thermal imaging sighting system with a laser rangefinder and the Sosna-U semi-automatic laser-guided mode developed by OAO Peleng. This sighting system has a 2-generation TPV camera capable of detecting and firing at tank-type targets at night to 3300 meters, which is not inferior to the parameters of the German EMES-15 combined gunner's sight used in the Polish Leopard (night work range - 3000 meters).

The TK-72B NE of the Republic of Belarus will also have upgraded PNK-4С-01 sighting and observation complexes with thermal TKN-4C-01 sights capable of detecting the target at distances: 1,5 km (in the passive mode) and 1,6 km (in active, with floodlight illumination). There is also a less pleasant moment: due to the preservation of the arms embargo against Belarus and the limitation of the supply of dual-use products and technologies to the Russian Federation, components for the French Catherine-FC thermal imaging cameras of the Sosna-U complex are unlikely to be stably supplied to the production facility. the VOMZ enterprise line in Vologda, which is why those Belarusian T-72B who did not have time to get new ISM, will remain with the 2-fold lag of the “night vision” range in comparison with the Polish “Leopards”.

PT-91 IN THE “SECOND ECHELON” AND “GOAT” OF THE NEXT GENERATION

As it has long been known, the Polish tank fleet is represented by the largest nomenclature of modern main battle tanks among all European states. And thanks to historically established military-political circumstances, the tankers of this state managed to master both the Soviet and purely NATO schools of tank design.

In addition to the deeply modernized Leopard-2А4 and existing Leopard-2A5, the Poles also have 760 main battle tanks, including X-NUMX comprehensively improved T-230М72, which are called PT-1 X-systems, which are PT-XnumX. themselves T-91М530, which can be upgraded to the level of "Twardy". What do we know about these tanks?

Polish PT-91. Earlier it was reported about an agreement between Poland and Ukraine on the provision of Polish technical documentation for Ukroboronprom to modernize 300 Ukrainian T-72 to PT-91 standard with a view to further use in the Donbas, which indicates the active participation of NATO in the upcoming aggravation of the conflict

PT-91 began being produced in “Bumar-ęabędy” from 1995 onwards. Before 2002, the company's workshops produced 232 machines. Inheriting from the base T-72М1 weakened armor protection of the tower against BOPS (380 mm), because of the ineffective filler in the form of sand cores, as well as the similar durability of the upper frontal part (about 400 mm equivalent), “Solid”, like the whole family of T- 72 needed to install dynamic protection. It was decided to install on modern tanks NDZ "ERAWA-1 / 2", developed by the Polish Institute of equipment and weapons WITU in Zelenka under the leadership of A. Vishnevsky. The physical dimension of the DZ elements is only 30 mm for "ERAWA-1" and 45 mm for "ERAWA-2", which is not enough for reliable protection against modern tandem cumulative warheads, but it is enough for 40% increase in anti-shear resistance, and 80% growth protivokumulyativnoy resistance, which was repeatedly proved during test shooting.

The greatest effectiveness of ERAWA is shown against monoblock cumulative rockets of the Malyutka, Fagot, RPG-7, LNG-9 complexes. The armor resistance of PT-91 with “Erava” looks like this: for the tower - about 530 mm (from BOPS) and 800 mm (from the COP), for WLD - 560 and 850 mm, respectively, i.e. approximately at the level of T-72B with “Contact-1”. Significant advantages in the protection of "Solid" is not observed. The tank can be destroyed even by the old BNL-32 BPS in frontal projection, and even weaker ZBM-22 / 29 - in the case of a gun mask in the area. But the bias of these machines is not done in the direction of a radical increase in armor resistance, but in the direction of increasing the network-centric fighting qualities and accuracy of firing, as indicated by the SLA and the optical-electronic target systems of the tank. Part of the PT-91 MBT is equipped with the French fire control system Savan-15T, developed by SAGEM, and part of the SKO-1М DRAWA (Polish SLA on the Western European element base).

Both systems include modern high-resolution television and thermal sights with a built-in laser rangefinder, allowing you to fight at ranges up to 3 km at night, but the Savan-15T is more advanced. According to authoritative sources, it includes thermal imaging and TV sights, similar to those installed on the French Leclerc HL-60 and Athos, which indicates a slightly greater perfection compared to PNK-4-01 directly at night. DRAWA and Savan have a full range of software algorithms for a full-fledged calculation of the correct flight trajectory of BOPS or OFS in various meteorological conditions. This includes corrections for wind, temperature, humidity, pressure.

The mobility of the Polish PT-91 is at the level of the Belarusian T-72B. The former are equipped with an S-12U 12 X-turbocharged V-type diesel engine with X-power, which provides 850-ton machines with specific power 47 hp / ton, but with further modernization of the 18 the remaining T-500X72 can be installed and more powerful S-1, which will overtake the Belarusian T-1000B.

But while Twardy and Leopards can still be quickly answered with further improvements of the Belarusian Relikt tanks, improved SLA, as well as the production and purchase of a large number of modern anti-tank systems, then Belarusian Tankers PL-01 will need a fundamentally new confrontation machine with high armor protection, active protection complex, the highest mobility, reduced radar and infrared signatures, as well as more powerful aiming complexes with extended night and "opportunities.

It does not seem accidental that among all NATO countries, it is in Poland, with the help of the British, that the main battle tank of the next generation with an uninhabited PL-01 turret is being developed. With the help of the British BAE Systems, the Polish Huta Stalowa Wola, OBRUM and BUMAR create a unique vehicle with all the known network-centric capabilities, as well as an advanced complex of active protection against precision weapons, while the program has moved to the final stage of development. Introduced on September 1 to visitors to the MSPO-2013 exhibition, PL-01 has the standard layout of the most important units for tanks of the 21st century, as well as a serious masking system represented by the widespread use of radio and heat-absorbing coatings of the entire hull and turret. All ribs and bevels have large tilt angles characteristic of the new generation stealth technology. In fact, the tank base is represented by the chassis of the Swedish combat vehicle Strf 90 (CV-90) with thick overhead ceramic-aramid modules mounted on all projections of the hull.

It is premature to say anything about the performance of the vehicle's armor, since the mass of PL-01 is unknown (in some sources 35 tons appear, in others - 50 tons), but considering the central or stern placement of the armored capsule with the crew behind the power plant, it is clear that it will be practically at the PT-91 level, or even higher. Due to the thick on-board modular PKE and the crew’s armored capsule, the suspension and the MTO are well protected from various anti-tank cumulative means. The developed tower has significant internal volumes for placement of optical-electronic sighting systems and electronic equipment processing information from KN 4-s antenna arrays. Also in the tower are 16 TPK-mortars for KAZ counter-shells (4 TPK in 2 rows on each side of the tower). It is interesting that the developers of PL-01 repeat the X-shaped spatial distribution of the antenna arrays of the KAZ Afganit, implemented in our Armata. The tower involves the installation of 105-mm, or 120-mm guns, "dressed" in a diamond-shaped masking cover, which will hide the infrared radiation from the barrel heated by the powder gases.

PL-01 modular reservation and masking coverage are very similar to the Belarusian concept of protecting the RDM-2T Stalker combat reconnaissance and sabotage vehicle, the project of which was “frozen”

The mobility of the PL-01 will be met by an 940-strong diesel with an exhaust cooling system that can deliver specific power over 20 hp / t. The speed on the highway at the new tank will exceed 70 km / h, crossed - about 60 km / h, which together with low visibility and active protection complex will make the car a very difficult target at distances more than 3 km. In addition, there is an Israeli “Lahat” tank-guided missile, which is unified with practically all types of tank guns of the NATO countries using sleeve containers of 105 / 120-mm caliber. The launch range of “Lahat” from the ground carrier reaches 6 km, which exceeds the Belarusian ones for the MBT TOUR; and the mode of flight “hill-dive” allows you to hit any unprotected complex of active protection tank in the upper projection (armor penetration missiles - 800 mm). “Lahati” showed good performance during training use with the Leopard-2A4 MBT, hitting mobile and fixed targets at a distance over 4 km, which determines for the Israeli TOURS great prospects in the weapons complexes of Western and Eastern Europe.

Of course, it is possible to reduce the threat from the concentration of similar weapons of NATO on the borders of the CSTO by installing KAZ Arena on Belarusian tanks, or locating Russian military bases equipped with brigades of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles on the Armat platform in the near future and other military tactics .. But to this day, the situation has not shifted from the dead center: while Minsk is “flirting” with Brussels, the outdated Belarusian tank arsenal really fades in the background of the saturation of the Baltic countries with American “Abrams”, “Javelins”, Israeli “Spa Kami ", and Poland - the new" Leopard "and PL-01. The large-scale production of the latter (expected by 2019) will finally upset the delicate balance between the potentials of the NATO NE and the CSTO in the East European theater, naturally with the connivance of the Belarusian side.

Belarus decided to create its own, fundamentally new MBT? Bravo, bravo.
    Will wait.
Thus, the Air Force and Air Defense of the Republic of Belarus have an impressive arsenal of the best short-range, medium and long-range air defense systems, among which there are Tor-M2E, Stiletto, S-125-2Т "Pechora-2Т" (Belarusian improved version of "Pechora" with extended to 3250 km / h target speed), Buk-M1, S-300PS and S-400.

And when did you manage to buy C-400?

Yes, what he wants is what he writes. In the beginning he blurted out that we have about 80 T70 pieces. Then he says that it is 26. I will not approve, but as far as I know, there are no "able-bodied" T80 tanks in Belarus.

I suggest the author hang himself.

Up to 70 MBT T-80B, 26 T-80BV. The truth is not clear, these 26 are included in the number 70, or by their side it will turn out that Belarus has 96 tanks of the T-80 family.
And if they are not working properly with you, then this does not matter. The Ukrainian military-industrial complex boasted that they had an abundance of gas turbines for the T-80; tea would not be denied to those who repair their helicopters lined up in the ATO.

the creation of MBTs, especially since the fundamentally new RB is a myth, it’s simply unrealistic to create something like a stronghold or damask steel in Ukraine, they will be able to do so only deep and simply upgrade existing tanks and their designs. The fundamentally new MBT is billions of funds in dollars for R&D and organization of production. If you just do as Stalker did, they created a good car that doesn’t have a place on the battlefield, and just a leash machine for the DRG, then they’re just like that - to build a prototype it’s possible to complete a more intelligible project but where will they get the equipment for this tank gun barrel engine td and tp - well this is a damn RB should be on the path of militarization in order to create its own MBT.
The only option that I see that they can make a new RB is an unmanned tank with remote control - then maybe something interesting will be possible - then it is possible to upgrade on existing tank models. Although also from the field of science fiction.
A very expensive and meaningless project, even such a technically and scientifically developed country as Sweden made plans to develop its own tank and even curtailed this business and bought sculpts from the Germans a tank as a tank is not the best and not the worst and creating your own wunderwafel from scratch is expensive and often senseless for some states.

And when did you manage to buy C-400?

The author, as usual, sculpts everything in order to write something, and the Poles are great, they went around many in this project.

Yes, the Poles have strengthened the standards so although it seems to me that the PL-01 is still a project for the future hodovka from Strf 90 (CV-90) -50t will not pull ....

You can level the advantage of the Poles over Belarus by purchasing Belorussia Cornet-D and Chrysanthemum-S

What’s wrong with the arms race, it’s enough for him to keep his white collars in check and can maneuver at least until the end of the century. Who on it even in an unhealthy mind rock the boat with its political geographic position.

Against tanks we need carriers of Hermes and Chrysanthemums. Yes, and Polonaise can also be adapted.

What for? Belarusians are not yet in the forefront of the US list for "democratization"; in extreme cases, they are more sane than Ukrainians and troops can be sent there to counterbalance Poland.

DZ "Relic" 72nd will continue to concede to Western tanks in protection - how does the author of this article know about the relict that he was in testing?

The increase in protection against cumulative shells for Contact-1 is approximately 60%, making the T-72B less vulnerable to RPGs, LNGs, and also some 2nd generation ATGMs, but only when fired at safe maneuvering angles (+/- 30 degrees from the directional direction of the machine), protection from the COP can reach 900 mm. But this is absolutely not enough to protect the T-72 from penetration by modern ATGMs (Spike, Javelin, TOW-2A / B, Milan ER, etc.)

The problem of tank protection is common for us. And you need to solve it in the shortest possible time.

Does the author really think that a solitary Poland will attack a solitary RB, while the rest will watch this exciting process from all sides with interest?

And if not, then this is NATO’s war with the CSTO, with the transition to a full-blown nuclear conflict. Which tanks?

Yes, even if the tanks. We do not have the Iraqi or Syrian desert. The line-of-sight range of 300-500 m is an unrealistic success for the anti-tank driver (and for the tank driver too). And at such a distance that the T-72B is on the Leopard, and vice versa - the one who pulled the Colt from the holster before the other is right. And not a single ATGM is as dangerous in our area as a modern anti-tank mine.
