Earlier it was reported that on Saturday, several blocks of the city of Raqqah - the "capital" of extremists - residents hung out the state Syrian flags. Rallies were organized in two urban areas, which later turned into clashes with terrorists.
“Around 200, militants from Daisy went over to the side of the residents of Raqqi, which forced the terrorists to organize checkpoints at the entrance to the city,” a well-informed source told the agency.
According to him, “residents of Raqqa ousted terrorists from five districts of the city during armed clashes” and “managed to get in touch with representatives of government troops via mobile communications”.
The agency reminds that the city located in the north of Syria is under the control of the DAISH from 2013. Currently, Syrian government troops and Kurdish militia forces are advancing towards Raqqah.
