Northrop F-5E Tiger II, AXALP 2015, Switzerland
A huge number of different aviation events are held in the world, and only a couple of three of them are known to the general public. Starting to dive into aviation mathematics looking at photos from various events it is sometimes difficult to understand at which event this or that photo was taken. But there are several places where air shows are held, photos from which are recognizable. An excellent example is Axalp. The name of this village, located in the foothills of the Alps in Switzerland, called the airshow held annually. Photos with a characteristic mountain landscape and unusual angles can not be confused.
Venue airshow Axalp noteworthy in itself, without any additional entertainment programs. Fresh, clean mountain air, breathtaking landscapes for a city dweller it all seems like a miracle. But it is worth remembering that to the point of shooting you have to go on foot or on the plain, and climb into the mountains. A steep climb plus height diminishes your strength very quickly. And although the route in the understanding of experienced grated tourists is simple, for the untrained city dweller it is a real test of endurance.
It is also worth noting that holding an air show is very much dependent on the weather, which is very changeable in the mountains. It often happens that when you come to the point of shooting and wait half a day waiting, the weather does not allow you to hold a show and you have to go back empty-handed. Cancellation AXALP airshow, due to adverse weather conditions, a common phenomenon. 2015 was not an exception. All two official days were canceled due to bad weather, but I still managed to make some interesting shots.
