Alligators work from a jump

This week the helicopter pilots of the Chernigov air base practiced missile firing with an intermediate landing on a non-equipped site - the so-called “jump” airfield.

The exercise consisted of two phases, the first, raising the crew’s alarm to inflict a missile-cannon attack on a conventional enemy from the minimum altitude and launch range of the 1-2km missiles, then landing on an un-equipped platform for refueling and reloading, followed by departure to the test site.

The first transport-combat Mi-8AMTSH appears above the platform. Its task includes the delivery of specialists of engineering and technical services.

Then a convoy with the necessary equipment appears on the site (tanker aircraft, support vehicles, etc.)

A few minutes later helicopters appear in the sky ....

and this is his "partner"

Having waited for the engines to stop, the ground crew begins servicing helicopters. Pilots are first asked for comments on equipment operation.

and then everything is according to the schedule. Inspection, inspection, maintenance .....

pilots at this time discuss the last flight

and some are attacked by journalists

Gunsmiths prepare the helicopter for the next flight. In the photo, the cartridges are being loaded into the heat trap shooting system.

and this is a more serious caliber - NURS shells are loaded into blocks

While gunsmiths go about their business, other specialists just do not sit idle.
