The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FS MTC) is working on the issue of supplying the Serbian Ministry of Defense air defense systems and MiG-29 aircraft, reports RIA News.

Earlier in the Russian media there was information about the intentions of Croatia to purchase ATACMS tactical missiles in the United States. In response, Belgrade showed interest in the Russian systems Pantsir, Buk and Thor, as well as MiG fighter jets.

“We are working on the issue of the supply of air defense systems and MiG-29 fighters to Serbia. This country is our strategic partner in Europe in many areas, including through military-technical cooperation, ”an unnamed representative of the VTS Federal Security Service told the agency.

And who doesn’t need modern weapons? The defense capability of our country will not suffer from the fact that we will sell modern complexes - they still need to be serviced, supply spare parts and, most importantly, ammunition, and this will always be under our control. And the alleged illiquid you might be interested in in Somalia.

But the Serbs do not care about NATO. Remember the famous murder of the Serbian ambassador to NATO, Branislov Milinkovic, 3 years ago, which "they" camouflaged as suicide. It didn't help anyway.

I would like to hope that this will happen in the near future, since this topic has been discussed for a very long time, and the armaments of the Serbs are very outdated, air defense, a fleet of fighters, etc.

"The Netherlands, during its six-month presidency of the European Union, which began on January 1, 2016, expects the continuation of negotiations on Serbia's accession to the EU and the opening of two new chapters of the negotiating dossier," Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Kunders said on Thursday.

I agree with you. But a quarter of a century ago, there was little we could do for them. I still remember reports from Serbia, in which they showed people with banners "Russia give S-300". I was then a quarter of a century younger and naively in the depths of my soul hoped that we would give.

          And news about snipers:
          01.02.2016
A few days ago, a famous Serbian volunteer in the DPR, sniper Dejan Beric, was ambushed by a group of fighters. The Serb managed to break free, but the Ukrainian media did not miss the chance and already declared him dead.
          - Hit me in a rifle, and before that in optics. For three days I arranged their chaos and they tried hard to catch me. They organized several ambushes and I hit one of them, but escaped. Those few who survived on their part, regretted the deed, ”says Berich.
Berich explains why the Ukrainian media declared him dead:
          - A few days ago, several guys died, and the guy to whom I gave my body armor died. A shell from a BMP 30 mm hit him right in the chest. A bulletproof vest was removed from it to make it easier to pull it out. The bulletproof vest was thrown - who needs it with a big hole in the chest. However, my name was written on it. The Ukrainians found him and announced that I was dead ... Now everything is OK, except that it still rings in my head, ”says captain Berich.http://ruserbia.com/society/3999-deyan-berich-oproverg-soobshcheniya-ukrainskikh

To our general displeasure, Russians are not welcome there, young people have even tried on the European "values".

Not long ago, my comrade there in one region was not the last person in peacekeepers, he really liked the Serbian villages - these will be cut to the last, my land and everyone is free. They treated European blue helmets very badly, before the threat of using weapons. And the terrain sometimes allows a small number of local fighters to keep the defense tight. In cities, everything is a little different, which is sad of course. And you can't even talk about good relations with the Albanians, even peacekeepers hate them, only bad definitions ...
